- larrabee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0im not puting mine away anytime soon. It's funny seeing this post since i just ordered a new motherboard tonight after mine lasted 3 years (corrupt bios). I modded mine last year and dont know how i lived without it. Stream movies/tv shows from my laptop and i got better quality picture then I get from digital cabel. Not to mention the homebrew stuff is cool. Right now Quake 3 is in the final stages of porting. Check out www.xbox-scene.com if your interested. If you own a xbox and its not modded to take full advantage of the pc inside you are really missing out.

- zarlwilliam, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i just softmodded mine and now it's far from retirement. I added a new hdd but you don't even have to go that far. Simply download all four BAED DVDs(big ass emulator disc) from piratebay.org and you now have almost every rom you'll ever need from all of your favorite old systems... arcade,nes,sms,snes,genesis,turbo gfx,gb/gbc/gba,neo geo... etc etc etc. all this without even opening the xbox and about $15 in materials. WELL worth it if you ask me. Yes I know you can do all this with a PC.. but multiplayer on a PC is a bit blah if you ask me... and this is also a bit more portable. oh yeah.. can play xbox games for free too ;)

- Namco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0XBMC alone means I'll never part with my Xbox. Let alone the emulators, movies, and 50 games I have on the 250GB hard drive. A modded Xbox is the finest piece of entertainment hardware next to my gaming PC or Tivo. No digg!
