Only 4,291,394 points more to get out of the negatives. - TomMcBaum, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I strongly doubt that "Lair" video 1 footage is real-time gameplay. But if it is, wow. I'll be more interested after Gran Turismo HD is available. That GTHD demo released on Dec 24 looks incredible. (And yeah, the lack of realistic vehicle damage sucks, I know....)
Besides, 1080p TVs won't be so rare and expensive in a year or so, so the 720p problem is only going to affect lower-end system owners (which won't be Sony's target audience in 2007). The lack of smart upscaling will probably be fixed via a firmware update, anyway. - CocaCola88, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1congrats but we know everything about the ps3 and how bad it's doing thx ;D
- fyngyrz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Just remember, the PS3's Blueray playback is crippled; it won't do the most common max format, 720p *except* in game playback. Blueray disks play back at 480p on a 720p system, same as any other DVD. Absolutely worthless. Buyer beware.
