http://astore.amazon.co.uk/buy.cheap.aiptek.camcor ... - whitesanjuro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0FTFA: "The AG-HVX200 shoots on a P2 card in 1080/60i, 30p and 24p; in 720/60p, 30p and 24p; and in DVCPRO50, DVCPRO or DV." => this means it shoots all legit HDTV formats, including the AMAZING 1080/30p (the highest quality spec for blu-ray and hddvd). its not the first HDTV-compliant, but it appears to be the first to do ALL HDTV standards.
- jmccorm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Well, I think its most compelling feature seems to be more that it is 100% solid state. With only 8 minutes recording capability in 1080i mode (with the latest and greatest card), it doesn't seem to be for regular use.
- jmccorm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This story sumamry is incorrect. The summary in the linked to article IS correct. "The world's first 1080i/720p/480i multi-format camcorder."
- jmccorm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"The world's first HD format camcorder." And so what does that make the Sony HDR-FX1, and the JVC GR-HD1? Chopped liver?
