New sub-mini-PC runs Linux

linuxdevices.com — More competition for the EEE PC, Nanobook, Cloudbook, etc... The "Gecko" is a sub-$300 model that runs a new Linux distro designed for small-screen PCs.

  • macemoneta, on 03/08/2008, -1/+1What's wrong with these manufacturers? Linux uses a three button mouse. With these two button touchpads, you have to either use three button emulation or an external mouse. Even my 8 year old Toshiba laptop has a three button touchpad - it's not like they don't exist.
  • webefools, on 03/16/2008, -0/+1itching to get a eeepc... but holding out to see what comes out! more of these sub-notebooks, more competition, better prices for us...
