Justice Department Alleges EMC Paid Kickbacks, Gouged

computerworld.com — EMC became the latest IT vendor to be indicated in a case involving perhaps a dozen or more technology companies where the government is alleging that it that paid kickbacks to federal consultants as well as overcharging for hardware, software and services.

When technology and its products become affordable, like ready-made or stock 3d computer graphics, EVERYONE (including the governement vendors and contractors) wins because now everyone can use it!

    So is everything I need free and provided, or do I need a credit card? I'm good at following directions but I'm a little confused already. Maybe not I'm not the ideal candidate for your philanthropy project.

    Replace Republicans with Politicians and we have a winner. This has been going on for quite some time and under both party's watch, both in Congress and in the White House.

We got talked into buying a CX200 for a specific implementation...it was "certified" for the project...and I couldn't believe the insane amount we paid for 1.5 TB. And there was always one disk in the array that went out. Thankfully, we had Dell Gold Support to cover it, because the drives themselves were like $2,500 for a 146 GB 15K SCSI with the EMC module.

  • ohplease, on 03/05/2009, -0/+1Uh EMC has been gouging since the mid 90's, which is why everyone started switching to Clariion, which EMC then bought and continued with the gouging. Still cheaper than Hitachi (though HDS kicks the ***** out of EMC for SAN performance).
