I hate it when companies try to use lingo to catch customers. It makes me feel like a noob just reading it much less buying it. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12I only see 1 problem with this case, " Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case"
its a Mid Tower, and with sli graphics cards, and several hard drives, "mid" towers just dont cut it.
Otherwise its a great case but for the price i would get a decent full ATX - MrZop, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11That's why people buy laptops.
- camkerr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10I liked the p180, this looks very nice too, those front intake fans are huge.
- ericnmu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8lian li makes some amazing cases. The quality is unsurpassed.
- waterdrop, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Thats not the price, it's the model number. Antec Nine Hundred, kinda like the Ford Five Hundred and the Chrysler 300.
- Uranium118, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6My P180 is sexier, IMO.
- JimXugle, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8yes, I'm abusing the comment system.

Although, you just get the first page of the article, which has little content.
Could someone setup a proper mirror? - waterdrop, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5I have always been a fan of Lian-Li. The Antec cases are good quality from the ones I have worked with though. Not sure about the design though. I like the Lian Li cases for their quality and design but they are expensive. Silverstone cases are pretty good as well.
- Days, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Who said "nine-hundred dollar case"?
Edit: Damn, waterdrop beat me to it. - NSMike, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Reminds me of my recently purchased Thermaltake Armor case. The Armor is a few inches larger, and also comes with blue LED fans. There aren't as many fans as this sucker has, but it is STILL a cooling beast. The 900 might be overkill, but then again, some say you can never have enough cooling.
- Duositex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Is anyone else damn sick of headlines that end with a friggen question mark??????
Is blah blah the best blah blah ever??
Does the blah blah have enough blah for blah??
John Stewart did a piece on this that was posted to digg and everyone loved it, yet nobody learned anything from it. - Spatulas, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5I own one myself. It's a dream to work in, the ventilation is great, and the multitudes of ways you can set it up are amazing. Just don't fool yourself with the possibility of any cable management - the PSU wires all come up in one spot, right in the middle of the case, leaving little room for the PCI cards (my video card touches the wires, and the bottom PCI slot is unusable).
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Direct Link to Antec:
http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=15900# - kaffein, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I prefer the side loading HDD trays of the Sonata II and Super Lan Boy.
- nstern2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I have the p180 and a buddy of mine has the 900 and the only thing that makes his better is the top usb/firewire ports. and I personally hate cases where you can see inside of it. My cable management sucks, so why should I let someone else see?
- brianbennett, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3It's too 'busy' if you ask me. The Antec P180 is the king of cases.
- vuke69, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I don't know what the hell you are looking at magixx, the P180 gives me wood.
- Stonedonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3"those who bought it from newegg and left comments don't think its the ultimate, but they find it to be pretty damn good"
That's because the One Thousand is scheduled for a Q1 2007 release!
I hear it can butter your toast. - Urusai, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4All these huge fans and widely vented siding makes me think just opening your $20 case and pointing a room fan at it would work just as well and cost less. Whatever happened to the concept of directed air flow, like BTX? Nowadays these cases are just wire mesh with enormous blowers.
- bmarc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3p180 ftw
- shultzy055, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Once you go Lian-Li...... you never go back.
- firepowered, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3what a POS.
so many fans and no fan filters. wtf. - noisey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I don't like cases with fans on the top. The top of a PC case should be solid flat painted metal. That's where I put my beer.
- waterdrop, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2You guy's who were hoping for a water cooling system can add your own to the case if you really like it. The case is a bit on the small side for putting a water cooling system in but its possible.
- HardSide, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Antec is trying to use their technology in both supply you a good computer and to supply you a reason to body build. But all joking aside my case weight 60 pounds easy with all the hardware
- MrZop, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5Stacker 830. 'Nuff Said.
- Tweaknews, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Sorry about the downtime guys, had to tweak the server. Should be much better now. =)
- cowbite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Being an owner of a Lian Li PC V2000, I'm really not terribly impressed with the Antec Nine Hundred. Other than the 200mm fan (it *is* pretty sweet, though) the rest is a normal, run-of-the-mill case from what I can see from the pics.
Although, it kinda makes me want to do a 200mm mod on my machine, though :) - Llanowar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"mircrosoft cases are good too"
Boohahahaha...
*tears from laughing" - WarMace, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Cats like to press your power button when its on the top. Nuff said.
- jamend, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Antec has light cases too, especially the P160 and Super Lanboy. I was able to put a computer together using the Lanboy that weighed less than 25 lb.
- antonio97b, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I don't like how the "front" inputs are on the god damned top. I'll stick to my Antec p80 black. I like everything where it is and how it is laid out. and simply sexy.
- theworldisround, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The question in the title was only answered by the company that makes it. I don't think a case has much to do with gaming, either. I'll take beige any day.
- Tweaknews, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1We have the Antec P180 reviewed as well:
http://www.tweaknews.net/reviews/p180/
You guys are right, it is an amazing case as well. - Terc, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2use the reply function
- Chazx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Sorry, I have to admit I think my case is better, the NZXT zero. It has SEVEN 120mm fan slots, four in the window in a 2x2 arrangement which pretty much covers everything important on the motherboard, two exhausts in the back, one intake at the front, and also an 80mm exhaust at the top. It comes with all of the fans, and believe it or not, it's remarkably quiet. Very quiet.
http://www.nzxt.com/products/zero/
As for cooling - my air cooled (Zalman 9700) Core 2 Duo E6400 (stock 2.13GHz) is clocked to 3.4GHz, and with light use such as browsing the web, it stays at about 27*c.
I love the look too. It just cant be beat. - Rickler, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Why steel? If it's a high end case it should be aluminum.
- jamend, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I passed my PSU cables under the motherboard... it was a little tricky because there's almost no clearance between the bottom (err second bottom) of the case and the motherboard's edge, but I was able to make it work eventually.
- dracostimpy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's sexy as hell with the door closed, but I ended up taking it off after a while because I got tired of tucking it around the side and when I tried duct taping it open for a while to keep it from floppin around, it started to pull the veneer away from the side panel.
So if you're gonna tape it open, tape it to the top of the case I guess. Otherwise just take the door off when you get fed up with it and bring it out when you wanna show off your sexy PC case. That's what I do when I show it off, and so far it's gotten me laid about uhh I smell something burning in the kitchen gotta run! - waterdrop, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Lian Li cases are The Best.
- antonio97b, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1p180. sorry folks.
- mitrovarr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What, you don't use the cupholder?
- NSMike, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Water cooling is largely a stylistic decision. Air cooling and water cooling offer roughly the same degree of cooling efficiency, unless you're actually running the coolant through a fridge or something. As for lower noise, you also have to consider the noise of the pumps, in which case, fans designed to run quiet often win out on the cooling efficiency to noise ratio.
- maxtypezero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1love my black p180 too, except for cable management! it's disgusting in there. (also my cables are sleeved so they're a little fatter)
- WarMace, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2It said it was the ultimate gamer case, not the ultimate lan party case. Price is a factor in earning the gamer title because were known for blowing the whole upgrade budget on a video card and having to beg cheat and steal for the rest of the parts.
- antonio97b, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1My cup holder is my second broken cd drive.
- retsel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1 if you want cooling the Coolermaster Stacker 830 owns anything, it has a slot in the window that can hold 4x120mm fans
- Hegemony, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That case is rather ugly. I prefer a sleek understated case. I have a Lian-Li PC-60 and it's the best case I've ever worked with.
