  • digmc, on 10/13/2007, -1/+0You've got to be kidding. Anyone attempting to desolder surface mount IC's used in todays electronics must be a neuro surgeon in his/her spare time. Especially if your intent is to replace the chip in question and had it work.

    Unless your using an old 386 or 486, it's cheaper and easier to toss the damaged electronic device and get a new one.
