oh wait.... - Hraes, on 03/10/2009, -3/+73Dammit, put temporary in the headline. *****. Sure, more people will digg you this way, but it's also deliberately misleading.
- Timmaay, on 03/09/2009, -4/+47It's temporary, no big deal.
- chompapotamus, on 03/10/2009, -6/+4085% left to go!
- kayakto, on 03/10/2009, -1/+17you just couldnt come up withmore misleading title, did you?
the linked article's title is:
"Facebook temporarily loses more than 10% of photos in hard drive failure"
you didnt even mention TEMPORARILY - nightmar3, on 03/10/2009, -4/+17my nude photos are gone :(
- stack3r, on 03/10/2009, -3/+14Or *insert brand of mechanical type drive here*
Ive been around long enough to say every brand of drive is generally *****. - Dundasbro, on 03/10/2009, -1/+10Final Fantasy 3? That was a sweet game. Haven't tried it on a Mac though.
- Kickinuarou, on 03/10/2009, -1/+8google probably cached them for you
- Duffle, on 03/10/2009, -2/+9Boo hoo.

- cyssero, on 04/18/2009, -0/+7ok,,,,, I see,, what ,, you,re saying,,,
- ericberglund, on 03/10/2009, -1/+7Temporary. Buried.
- DeviantDragon, on 03/10/2009, -0/+6I don't think there are really positioning themselves as an online archiving service. They probably don't have the servers and storage to preserve that many photos in original resolution nor offer the bandwidth to allow for downloading of all those photos. Besides, if you're friends with someone on Facebook just ask for them to email you the photo or use another online service like flickr.
- waynehoggett, on 03/10/2009, -0/+6Yep. They all have their bad models - even the top 2 have had a few.
- e2superman, on 03/10/2009, -2/+8This is why I will never trust the "cloud" with my important information!
- Konrad9, on 03/10/2009, -0/+6Really? I hear Seagates are really crappy.
And Hitachi.
And Samsung.
And every other ***** brand in the entire universe. I guarantee if you go to a tech website and view the comments on any brand-oriented hard drive story you will see exactly the same amount of comments saying users have had nothing but problems as you will saying users have had only the best of experiences. - ultrafez, on 03/10/2009, -0/+5Network Address Address Address Address Address Address Address Address Address Address Address Address Address Address Address Address Translation?
That doesn't even make sense. - Duffle, on 03/10/2009, -9/+14I bet they were Western Digital drives.
- dgtljunglist, on 03/10/2009, -0/+5Exercise in amusement: Keep your eyes on the titlebar and click through to the article. Go Digg.
- Sprules04, on 03/10/2009, -2/+6Do people really have only one copy of their compressed Facebook photos? If they do then they deserve to have lost them.
- Hraes, on 03/10/2009, -0/+4"BREAKING! : Facebook HQ explodes, killing millions and losing all of your pictures, except for the naked ones, which have been emailed to all major corporations, your parents, and every large newspaper!"
- inactive, on 03/10/2009, -0/+3Leave Britney alone!
- steliza, on 03/10/2009, -0/+3maybe because facebook isn't designed to be a primarily photo-sharing service?
- Jisan, on 03/10/2009, -1/+4Buried for Inaccuracy
- brundlefly76, on 03/10/2009, -0/+3kayato: then no one would have clicked on it, because it wasnt really news.
- marillion, on 03/10/2009, -0/+3You say that like it's a bad thing ....
- tomjowitt, on 03/10/2009, -0/+2Crashes FF3 on Fedora.

- MScrip, on 03/10/2009, -1/+3> "or use another online service like flickr"
...which might not be around in 10 years either.
Seriously... back up your own *****! - V-Mob, on 03/10/2009, -0/+2Youre an internet cancer, I hope you burn in a brilliant fire.
- gfox, on 03/10/2009, -0/+2How will I ever remember that one time I got drunk in college!
- MtheoryX, on 03/10/2009, -1/+3nah, i've got copies over here. I'll send 'em to ya'.
- MScrip, on 03/10/2009, -0/+2> "and every large newspaper!"
Which are failing left and right... - Verugan, on 03/10/2009, -0/+1look at me! I'm so important! (substitute child for yourself if necessary)
- Twee, on 03/11/2009, -0/+1Am I the only person who has problems with some pictures loading on facebook? I'll be looking through someone's album, and approximately 1 out of every 20 pictures fails to load and just hangs at the spinning progress wheel, but it will load all other pictures in sequence just fine. I don't think this is just a temporary problem, I think its been an ongoing issue for a long time.
- cerejota, on 03/10/2009, -3/+4I jizz'd in my pants...
The rest of the comments have been duly dug down. - inactive, on 03/10/2009, -0/+1Digg is looking like MSM more and more each day.

- kouchan21, on 03/10/2009, -1/+2"BREAKING! : Multiple Facebook hard drives failures! Users' pictures lost" would have been ever better
- wirah, on 03/10/2009, -0/+1facebook is internet cancer.
I hope all their servers burn in a brilliant fire - hcoimbra, on 03/10/2009, -1/+2Gotta love sensationalist titles. Buried because inaccurate.
- posterboyj, on 03/10/2009, -3/+4Whats the big deal? People will just go out and post drunken pictures again. How original
- mdalurzo, on 03/10/2009, -0/+1are you kidding me? myspace?
- MightyUpsetter, on 03/10/2009, -1/+1It doesn't happen
- inactive, on 03/10/2009, -2/+2"I told you that being part of the eMachines server pilot program was a bad idea, Mark!"
- johnh1223, on 03/12/2009, -0/+0Happned to me for a bit, but my pictures came back up a few hours later.
