- Nicholas1989, on 05/28/2009, -15/+146Awful pictures; were they taken with an iPhone or what?
- omjeremy, on 05/28/2009, -5/+73OLEDs are awesome!
- inactive, on 05/28/2009, -7/+48Auto-Focus *****!
- Richardgm, on 05/28/2009, -16/+42Sexy. Ok, I said it...
- Javindo, on 05/28/2009, -16/+41Am I the only person in the world who likes Steve Ballmer lol. (Not a fanboy or anything, I just find him amusing because he's so flamboyant)
- Paladin27, on 05/28/2009, -0/+25That looked like Pixar's "For the Birds" to me.
http://www.pixar.com/shorts/ftb/index.html - jer21, on 05/28/2009, -0/+25It's flash based, so 120gb right now is probably not gonna happen.
- inactive, on 05/28/2009, -6/+28Probably, given Engadget's general preference for reporting Apple stories.
- lynx44, on 05/28/2009, -0/+18Yeah, Ballmer's a real stud
- stacks14, on 05/28/2009, -2/+18***** is wrong with you? GO AWAY TROLL!
- gcnaddict, on 05/28/2009, -4/+18I know it can play 720p out to a TV, but I wonder if that's the maximum res.
I can't wait to hear the full spec sheet on it; it would be nice if it could play 1080p out to a TV as well, but that's likely wishful thinking on my part. - inactive, on 05/28/2009, -2/+16You can dump your iPhone for any number of smart phones that are available. Why are you waiting for a Zune Phone?
- ducttape36, on 05/28/2009, -3/+17buried for trolling
- jackcrack7, on 05/28/2009, -1/+13What is that supposed to mean? Did Apple invent the touch screen? A lot of these features have been around on the Zune for years. The interface for the most part has remained untouched and they have always supported some form of WiFi. The only similarity this has to an iPod is the touch screen/web browser and I'm pretty sure that neither of those things were originally Apple ideas.
- wTheOnew, on 05/28/2009, -0/+12...and HD radio tuner, and HDMI out, and decient software for Windows machines...
Microsoft is generally a generation of two late to the party, but for the most part they bring very current, very nice devices to the market. - jakem1, on 05/28/2009, -2/+14You deserve to be buried with crap comments like that. Get a life.
- garryw, on 05/28/2009, -1/+123.3" is too small but 4.3" isn't? Both are tiny, but the 605 is probably pretty large to use while running or at the gym. Sounds like the Zune is more adapted to music and the 605 to watching TV on a train.
- Tiptup300, on 05/28/2009, -3/+13Wow, giving an honest opinion of one's phone is trolling now?
- kolobcreek, on 05/28/2009, -14/+24Now turn it into a phone so I can dump my POS iPhone 3G.
- oomfoofoo, on 05/28/2009, -3/+13see astralknight, I'm not the only one that knows you're a shill and a part of the boycottnovell mafia.
- ChronicColonic, on 05/28/2009, -0/+9He must work out...
- evil-doer, on 05/28/2009, -1/+10i cant believe you are getting dugg up. its NOT big buck bunny. it IS pixar.
big buck bunny

pixar: for the birds
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnX7V8eG8is - masterkenobi, on 05/28/2009, -3/+12Remember when there was a rabid Apple bury brigade on Digg? How times have changed...
- TheMu, on 05/28/2009, -4/+12And if you don't like it, he's going to ***** kill you.
- Sandkat, on 05/28/2009, -1/+9Microsoft is going to have an uphill battle with that thing. The iPod Touch and iPhone are not just music players but whole platforms with a vast array of software, user generated content, slick multi-touch user interface, etc.
I'll withhold any further comments till we found out more about the touch Zune (I refuse to call it Zune HD). - atomicfireball, on 05/28/2009, -0/+8No, there's definitely shots of the "For the Birds" in there and I don't see any that look like Big Buck Bunny.
- FredFredrickson, on 05/28/2009, -2/+9What would be the point of making a screen that small "HD" resolution? You need a screen almost 40" to see the difference between SD and HD anyway.
It's a small, sharp screen. That is enough. - wobegon, on 05/28/2009, -3/+10If you're going to show off the Zune HD, Balmer, it might be nice to show off it's **interface** rather than pictures/video clips. Just a thought.
- Griminald, on 05/28/2009, -2/+9"all the coverage" in this case is a ***** little gallery with like three lines of text.
As a Zune owner I'm excited about the possibilities -- but nervous about the possibilities for failure. I don't know why I would use HD Radio if I'm using the Zune Pass to download loads of music anyway. I don't use the radio in my current Zune as it is.
I shared a Zune HD link on my Facebook and *immediately* an Apple fanboy railed against the Zune Pass' use of DRM. God forbid someone they know dislikes iTunes! *gasp!* - Solkre, on 05/28/2009, -1/+8I find it hard to believe that the iPhone has a 100% user approval rating.
- xboxgmer, on 05/28/2009, -0/+7Arent some of the pictures:

from this:

Edit: i am too slow - Flinty, on 05/28/2009, -0/+7Don't think it will as I just looked up the CPU it's got in (according to Wikipedia) and it's a Tegra APX 2500 from Nvidia which supports 720p H.264 decoding.
- Tiptup300, on 05/28/2009, -0/+6Looks like Pixar's "For the Birds"
link here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/For_the_Birds_(film) - ryan850, on 05/28/2009, -0/+6Its low light and camera shake i imagine.. .so, raise your ISO *****!
- apackofmonkeys, on 05/28/2009, -0/+6When I read "Ballmer himself whipped out", "sexy" was the last thing in my mind.
- FutureGuy, on 05/28/2009, -0/+6Yes MS stole Apples invention of MP3 players, no wait....
- stinkstank, on 05/28/2009, -1/+7One word: "Marketplac"
LOL - jakem1, on 05/28/2009, -1/+7I'd put money on the new Zune supporting a range of video formats including DivX and XVid. The XBox does, Windows 7 does and it makes sense for the Zune to considering the fact that they're about to push XBox integration.
- ZiggityZhang, on 05/29/2009, -1/+7Reasoning with apple fanboys is like trying to convert fundamentalists to atheism.
- Shirt, on 05/28/2009, -0/+6Wow, I got a 30gb off Woot for dirt cheap back in the day, and then sold it to a friend to buy a 120gb not too long ago. Why would you ever need that many?
- teethandeyes, on 05/28/2009, -2/+7I have used both the Zune and the iPod. I like the Zune much better.
Plus iTunes is lame. - jackcrack7, on 05/28/2009, -1/+6I bought an iPod the first time around and to me, that was the mistake. I purchased a Zune 80 about a week after it was released and it has been fantastic. I'm really interested in the Zune HD.
- inactive, on 05/28/2009, -2/+7I hate it Because it runs a modified version of IE6. IE ***** 6. Couldn't they ***** port IE 8. IE6 Needs to die now.
- belumaves, on 05/28/2009, -1/+6incorrect my friend, incorrect. some people do hate the things, just most figured that out before they got it, some realized afterwards...
- cromulent742, on 05/28/2009, -3/+8Remember when you got buried for submitting a useless comment?
- belumaves, on 05/28/2009, -0/+5so this comment really does not reflect well on your decision making process. you are asking for specs but already decided.... *shakes head*
- khsheehan, on 05/28/2009, -0/+5It won't but even if it did. That leaves nearly no room for content at that resolution.
- pahool, on 05/28/2009, -0/+5Sorry. I was wrong. It looked like Big Buck Bunny at first glance. I humbly retreat with my tail between my legs...
- Flinty, on 05/28/2009, -3/+7Looks good and from the limited information on Wikipedia it sounds great as well. The only down-side I see is that they are going to be pushing a custom version of Internet Explorer 6. Fantastic.
- Javindo, on 05/28/2009, -0/+4Although I haven't met any of them, I would agree with you based on the interviews with Bill etc. He seems like a really interesting person, well educated and talking to him must be really insightful. He claims to read 2-3 books a day so he at least he would keep an intelectual conversation going!
