- jtjdt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Yah, I loved the part where they took a random flash drive, and all the music was instantly playing. That was awesome.

Step 2: SPAM said site with fake comments designed to drive traffic to your myspace conspiracy theory page. Step 3: watch as each of your comments get blasted by the social network. Step 4: ? Step 5: Profit.
- ediPG, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4nice :-)
- mandarin, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Heh.. more crap on the car. More gas to burn to move all that crap.
- DeathtoG4, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Thank god ford, about time you guys starting doing something innovative. Now i might actually be able to get a kool car with low insurance.
- sexydawg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Why why WHY can't they put this in the F-150????????
- troub, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I ran across a super-cheap car stereo by accident in Target. . .on sale for $50 before Christmas (reg. $99, I think). I picked it up to replace the factory Delco CD player in my POS Pontiac that stopped reading CDs a long time ago. Anyway, this player has a USB input, SD card slot, and front AUX input, plays MP3 and un-DRM'd WMA files from CD or USB/SD. I'd been looking for a long time for a car unit that just played MP3/WMA from CDs and had a front AUX port. Kenwood/Pioneer/etc were all really hard to find a relatively inexpensive (
- troub, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Ack, the rest of my comment disappeared.
Long story short the company also has a Bluetooth model that connects to cell phones, caller ID on the stero faceplate, auto mutes the music, etc. You can probably find it for $150.
So what special about this Sync system? Voice recognition? Woopty doo. These companies need more imagination, or the cheap Asian competitors will keep eating their lunch. - PlagueMonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1would someone ban digggfan? He's harshing my mellow.

- superkendall, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2It's OK though if it's not really writing to the device.
I thought it was funny that even a Microsoft branded system has to offer some form of iPod integration! I'm sure that was at Ford's insistence. - sembetu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1And, Linux hacks for this device arriving in 5...4...3... .... ......
- dblomqu1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is just the tip of the iceberg! Many, many new ideas and applications for this device to come. It is almost a pocket pc in a car. I can think of a ton of applications for this device down the line.
- nicheplayer, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2This is not going to save Ford.
- jtjdt, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1"I thought it was funny that even a Microsoft branded system has to offer some form of iPod integration! I'm sure that was at Ford's insistence."
Yah, I thought it was funny too, but then I thought about it a little bit more. Over 71 million people own iPods. If they didn't use an iPod (which they do on their website as well), then that would kinda alienate over 71 million potential customers, and that would be pretty stupid. - aloe, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1hmm no eject capability for the iPod? He just yanked it when it said "Do Not Disconnect." That's not so great...
- UnnDunn, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I want that. I want that BAD. Maybe bad enough to buy a Ford, even.
- w1n78, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0cool concept. not really impress with using M$ as an OS but they got it working so far. for those who don't want to buy a ford for the feature look into nokia and their Music Edition phones (black phones) that were recently released. nokia will be selling bluetooth car kits that will allow you to stream music from your phone via bluetooth whether your car has bluetooth or not. not sure how close for a US release but very close in all the other countries
- ph1sh55, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Are we really going to walk down the road after we've seen what could happen? All it takes is one jeff goldblum or will smith and our entire transportation network would lose its shields.
- mizzoucat, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Very nice! I don't like Ford too much but I really like what they are doing with this....
- nirav72, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2Nice..but don't we have enough things distracting drivers on the road?...Like cell phones, DVD players etc.
- polaris23, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2Great! Now cars will start to get viruses!
- kev26, on 10/12/2007, -12/+7But one major fundamental flaw of this system as I see it - it's in a FORD.
- Enigmatarius, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1Awesome. Now you need to worry about the Blue Screen of Death while your even driving you car.
