- Rapter09, on 07/07/2008, -0/+3On the subject of large cranes (that's actually relevant to the article) The largest i've ever actually seen with my own eyes was the floating HLV Svanen. She was here on the island during the construction of the Confederation Bridge. I was a young kid at the time and our school went on a field trip to the bridge construction yards and around the base of the bridge when it was in its early stages of construction, and the Svanen was really a sight to behold. Not as big as this sucker, though, but soon after finishing the Confederation Bridge, the Svanen headed back to Europe to help this big guy construct the Oresund Bridge.
