- Richardpa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wanted to set the record straight here. I work for Dell and can assure you we do not delete posts, unless they violate the Terms of Service agreement. We have clear policies related to the forums, their openness and transparency. If you look around the forums I think you have to conclude there is lots of commentary that details user fixes, workarounds, and tales of user discontent.
If a Dell Community Forum member violates the Terms of Service we remove the comment to a hidden area and send an e-mail to the person that posted it telling them why it was moved. We offer them the opportunity to resubmit their comments without the violations....and by the way, a violation of the terms of service would include using curse words, or providing personal contact information etc. or if someone posts multiple posts on the same subject. (this generally happens when they have an issue that they are not sure what board to post in, so they post the same note several places).
If you have information that leads you to some other conclusion, please email: dell_forums@dell.com so that we can investigate the specifics.
With respect to the specific product and issues, I am following up with this person on their website. - jakiah, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What about everyone else that has a 700m. Dell refuses to believe there is a widespread problem,... The only response is... "Call out of warranty repair."
