- bumcheekcity, on 02/23/2009, -2/+42Yay, the Daily Mail.
Actually, that's probably the most newsworthy thing they've printed all week. They managed to take a break from mindless celebrity gossip, pandering to anti-immigrant racism and just general ***** to write about a golf ball that got stuck in a tree. Credit to them. - a117, on 02/23/2009, -1/+23That's nothing. One time I chopped down this old tree and found elves! They were baking cookies of all things. Hell of a place to do some baking in my opinion.
- jerstud56, on 02/23/2009, -4/+25Felled is a funny word.
- yacks, on 02/23/2009, -3/+21Talk about a slice.
- Fallooza, on 02/23/2009, -0/+13its better than bad its good
- stklaw, on 02/23/2009, -2/+12Chuck Norris can't play golf because all his golf balls will turn to dust.
- heyblue, on 02/23/2009, -0/+10it's big it's heavy it's wood
- tkcom, on 02/23/2009, -0/+9Epic felled.
- tweaq, on 02/23/2009, -0/+8no, no it isn't.
- jamaph, on 02/23/2009, -0/+8LOG - from Blamo
- elryanoo, on 02/23/2009, -0/+5Ever heard of sanding?
- inactive, on 02/23/2009, -0/+5I remember that once they had one either the third or fifith page, a full page spread about a cat sitting on a car seat.
Nothing else.
Just a few photos and a short article.
About a cat.
On a car seat.
*Sighs* - amanilaenvelope, on 02/23/2009, -1/+6But first you have to pay the troll toll to that boys hole.
- groo68, on 02/23/2009, -1/+6If he inhales the dust and blows it out in the hole does it count as a hole in one or a carry? it never touched the ground or his hands.
- inactive, on 02/23/2009, -0/+4You tried, but still fail.
- LogitechG15, on 02/23/2009, -4/+8Let me be the first to say that this is ***** stupid.
- inactive, on 02/23/2009, -3/+6Wow Digg, have you sunk this low? To talk about golf balls in ***** trees?
- inactive, on 02/23/2009, -1/+4Why don't you suck my balls?
- MrChunks, on 02/23/2009, -0/+3The Sun, News of the World, Daily Sport, Sunday Sport, The People (possibly/sometimes).
There's a few of them. - spookyttws, on 02/23/2009, -2/+5Alert: Guy hits olf ball into tree, tree grows over it, 17 years later tree is cut down, and golf ball is re-found!
- berroci, on 02/23/2009, -0/+3It doesn't really count as anything, because the sheer act would instantly cause the sport of golf to vanish from the past, present and future.
Former golf courses would be used as storage spaces for Chuck Norris's weightlifting equipment. - chancesarent, on 02/23/2009, -0/+3RTFA. It was sanded and varnished for display in their clubhouse
- sageerrant, on 02/23/2009, -0/+2...and he takes his second swing.
- graemee, on 02/23/2009, -0/+2and that is why there are no Kebler elves in Canada.
- a117, on 02/23/2009, -1/+3For those who don't get the reference:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H03PyhbRjSY - inactive, on 02/23/2009, -0/+2That is not a very old ball. The pre 1970s balls were made of wound up rubber bands. They sure were fun to put in a fire and watch them spin, unwind and pop. Some had runner liquid filled rubber ball centers and some were solid rubber balls inside. We even burned one that had a metal core.Almost as fun as eating an Atomic Fireball without chewing!..life was fun then
- heresy_fnord, on 02/23/2009, -2/+4Buried, dailyfail...
- Meowbiusfox, on 02/23/2009, -0/+2Trees can absorb all kinds of stuff. We had a sugar maple that had a hoe
imbedded in it that my grandpa put in the "Y" of the branches long ago.
The tree eventually overcame any trace of it during the next thirty years. - KevinJLGB, on 02/23/2009, -1/+3'If Richard had cut the trunk an inch or two either way we'd never have known it was there.'
...and nothing of value would have been lost. - eak125, on 02/23/2009, -1/+3Our trees can't repel golf balls of that magnitude!
- CNAIF, on 02/23/2009, -1/+2buried for the sheer stupidity that is once again The Daily Mail.
- drunkirish, on 02/23/2009, -0/+1That's boy's SOUL. No, that's not what it sounds like you're saying.
- Firespray1138, on 02/23/2009, -0/+1I don't see how this is newsworthy but it's kind of cool I guess.
- sandraprinsloo1, on 04/15/2009, -0/+1Very cool how the tree repaired itself around the golf ball.
http://www.getimprovegolfswingguide.com/ - MrChunks, on 02/23/2009, -0/+1Who are your friends? Hippies?
- inactive, on 02/23/2009, -0/+1Which English paper use to have the pics of half nude girls?
Now that was quality journalism - walgman, on 02/23/2009, -0/+1Surely you would cut the ball first.
- MNRbusinessman, on 11/07/2009, -0/+1Nature ate the golf ball.
http://www.ropeitgolf.com - waffleninja, on 02/23/2009, -12/+12DAILY FAIL BURY BURY BURY
- alpha88, on 02/23/2009, -2/+2I hope this guy bought a lotto ticket afterwards.
- nail3r, on 02/23/2009, -1/+1***** the Daily Fail!!! They got bury brigades following every story, I ***** know it.
- sq2shooter, on 02/23/2009, -1/+1That is amazing that the ball is embedded so deep within the tree trunk. I don't know for sure but I thought solid core golf balls have only been on the market the last 10 or 15 years.
- bulgingbritches, on 02/23/2009, -0/+0BS. That is a solid core ball with multi-layer materials. That hasn't been around that long.
- Alvaxyz, on 05/05/2009, -0/+0Yay, the Daily Mail.

Credit to them. - JROXZ, on 02/23/2009, -2/+2By the looks of it the golf ball was only 2 years old when it happened. Poor li'l bugger.
- BlazeSquall, on 02/23/2009, -2/+1Isn't it more likely that someone merely placed the golf ball in the fork many years ago...
- isuisorisuaint, on 02/23/2009, -4/+3why don't you shut the ***** up?
- zeeistheman, on 02/23/2009, -4/+3Poor tree
