- i4mt3hwin, on 09/29/2008, -0/+8Vijay singh is a great golfer. Congratulations to him.
- TurnipFarm, on 09/29/2008, -3/+910 million is chump change! Why, just the other day I heard about some guys getting 700 billion, and they weren't doing well in the points race at allllllll.
- atb12688, on 09/29/2008, -1/+6If you're not joking, you are an idiot. Golf is the most difficult sport in the world. You start out great, then the next thing you know, you can't hit anything straight and you go back to practicing your heart out, only to see a modest improvement. Not only do these guys have extreme physical gifts, they have the work ethic to match. You don't have either.
- turbosatan, on 09/29/2008, -0/+5thats cause you fancy young boys
- smaskat, on 09/29/2008, -0/+5Singh is King.
- mbonnin, on 09/29/2008, -0/+2I'm glad for him. He's a classy guy.
- quomen, on 09/29/2008, -0/+2Nice, someone who actually cares about golf. +1
- skierkegaard, on 09/29/2008, -0/+2The FedEx Cup is a broken system. Vijay had it clinched before the final event was even played, which does not make for an interesting golf "playoffs". Here's hoping they change the rules to open up the possibility of making a "post season run" for the cup.
- alexkball, on 09/29/2008, -0/+2All of the experts have said that the type of surgery Tiger had usually sees 100% recovery, and I fully expect him to be back kicking ass next year.
That being said, even if Tiger is 50% as good as he was he'll still be the best golfer on Tour and still get to 19 majors to pass Jack. - arunforce, on 09/30/2008, -0/+2Saddest group of comments I have seen in a long time.
Go the big fijian! - mizatt, on 09/29/2008, -1/+2How do you figure?
- matthewkg, on 09/29/2008, -0/+1Congrats to Mike Weir on finishing 6th. Go Canada!
- alexkball, on 09/29/2008, -0/+1I'm still deciding where I stand on this. I, like most of us, would like to see a system that has the $10 Million and the FedEx Cup being decided on the final hole on the final day of the season, at the Tour Championship.
However, it also seems that such an enormous prize should go to the champion golfer of the year, who played best and most consistently for the entire season.
I hope Finchem and the crew at the PGA can sort this out over the winter. - inactive, on 09/29/2008, -0/+0There's no defense in Golf.
- mizatt, on 09/29/2008, -2/+2Tiger wasn't there, so why don't you guys get your mouth off his nuts and congratulate Vijay for a job well done
- acrodev, on 09/29/2008, -2/+1I worry about anyone who uses the word fancy so casually... And I'm sorry, but golf just isn't that interesting without its best player.
- inactive, on 09/29/2008, -1/+0$10 million is peanuts!
- quomen, on 09/29/2008, -4/+1Because Vijay is a self-proclaimed and certified *****.
- CCB0x45, on 09/29/2008, -4/+1Hey ass, I shot 5 over yesterday, ive been playing 19 years now off and on(I'm 24)! Dont tell me what I got, tiger woods I am comin for you. atb12688 is a jackass!
- inactive, on 09/29/2008, -8/+2I think Vijay will take the $10 million compensation to knowing he's second best.
- hisean99, on 09/29/2008, -7/+1WTF! Why is golf on the front page?
- CCB0x45, on 09/29/2008, -7/+1Give me a shot at this PGA! I can take them!
- wrmjr, on 09/29/2008, -8/+2OK, Tiger is out. We get it. You don't like golf without Tiger. Move along, then. Nothing to see here.
You realize, of course, that Tiger may never be as good as he was after all this rehab??? (Not that I expect it!) - mrogi, on 09/29/2008, -6/+0Vijay Singh is 45 years old. If a geriatric guy can dominate a sport...it is not a sport. Golf is bogus. It's just a recreation.
- TrueJustice, on 09/29/2008, -15/+72nd place is the first loser, and every other golfer is AT BEST second to Tiger. When he says he's taking a break, everyone else is just practicing for when he returns. He already proved he's better on ONE KNEE than the rest of the field. Congrats on your 10MIL Singh, Tiger should be able to write that off as a charitable donation on his taxes this year.
- acrodev, on 09/29/2008, -16/+1If it doesn't say Tiger in the headline, I'm not interested.
