- growvideos, on 11/14/2009, -2/+44"Some guys say they've seen this thing, a man-bear-pig," Thurman says without smiling. "That's what they say."
WTF? - gramathy, on 11/15/2009, -2/+40TOTALLY dugg for manbearpig and the delivery. I don't think the reporter even knows he got owned.
- IHaveALaserGun, on 11/15/2009, -1/+32Good to see the Army can keep a good sense of South Park humor even abroad. Even the reporter fell for it.
- skipvt, on 11/14/2009, -1/+13"Four!!"
BANG
"Damn, shanked it" - RJ0534, on 11/15/2009, -0/+7I don't know, the one guy got axed by North Koreans because he was trimming trees, so god knows what they would do to a golfer
- PinkFloyd65, on 11/15/2009, -3/+9I'm super serial guys!
- TheRealHonkHonk, on 11/15/2009, -1/+7Sounds like an epic (don't ***** with US troops) story. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Axe_Murder_Incident#F ...
- kakwakas, on 11/15/2009, -0/+6Nonono, it's half man and half bear-pig.
- R3publican, on 11/15/2009, -0/+5I heard it was part bear and part man-pig.
- TheObviousChild, on 11/15/2009, -0/+4I hear its droppings look part pig and part man-bear.
- jdtix, on 11/15/2009, -1/+5*cereal!
- crossmr, on 11/15/2009, -0/+3and the only pictures we get of this "dangerous" course... a guy on the tee....fantastic.
- raptorlightning, on 11/15/2009, -1/+4Doesn't seem all that dangerous. Just don't walk where you're not supposed to. A ball might light off a mine, but that seems more exciting than anything. Its not like there's mines actually on the course.
- Screenguy, on 11/15/2009, -0/+3Sounds cool, but the journalism in this article after the first page really sucks...
- Chompy, on 11/15/2009, -0/+3It's not; I've been there. Yes, you're only feet away from a minefield, but there's a giant fence; nobody is going to stumble into them. Hell you've already passed miles of minefields, artillery emplacements, and tank traps before you ever even get to Bonifas. Tourists are in and out of there every day, it's not really that big of a deal.
Panmunjeom, now, *that* place is ***** creepy. - L3on, on 11/15/2009, -0/+3Several of the special forces men also had Claymore mines strapped to their chests with the firing mechanism in their hands, and were shouting at the North Koreans to cross the bridge.
Wow... - daliminator, on 11/15/2009, -1/+3"Foré"
- meed, on 11/15/2009, -0/+2I guess were gonna see Al Gore start playing a lot of golf In South Korea now.
- Boogalou007, on 11/15/2009, -0/+2"Some guys say they've seen this thing, a man-bear-pig," Thurman says without smiling. "That's what they say."
How did this man not ***** himself laughing after the reporter actually wrote down what he said? Awesome!
The submitter really blew the title, should have been "MANBEARPIG discovered in Korea by US troops!" - codereview, on 11/15/2009, -0/+1I read about the incident before attending a DMZ tour in March.
It's an eerie place .. feels like time stopped there some 50 odd years ago. I tip my hat to the US and South Korean forces stationed there. - raptorlightning, on 11/15/2009, -0/+1Truly frightening.
- asaone, on 11/15/2009, -0/+1I was stationed in South Korea when Capt. Arthur Bonifas and another American officer were beat to death by North Korean Army personnel using axe handles. They were leading a South Korean work detail to trim a tree within the security zone at Panmunjom the so called peace village where they still have to this day peace talks since we are still technically at war with North Korea. No one is allowed to carry weapons in this area so the two US Army Officers were not armed nor were the South Korean work detail. About half way threw the operation a North Korean army truck came at a high speed to the tree and North Korean solders jumped out armed with axe handles and preceded to beat too death the two American officers and a few of the South Koreans before they retreated as UN forcess arrived. All of the US/UN and South Korean forces went on a war footing and we were not allowed to kill the ***** North Koreans but ended up blowing the tree up. The war almost restarted that day.
- TheObviousChild, on 11/15/2009, -0/+1So I was playing golf with the Lama...
