- ghee, on 10/11/2007, -1/+128This wasn't the brightest idea.
- Speedy7, on 10/11/2007, -2/+69I guess this was the snake's idea of a 'light snack'
- t0ny, on 10/11/2007, -3/+57Thats going to be hard to poop out.
- TiMMY8765, on 10/11/2007, -2/+52snake? SNAKE!? SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!!!
- BlindingEdge, on 10/11/2007, -3/+39That's what we call a San Fransisco Snake, he was mad that his owners aren't using fluorescent bulbs!
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+32New movie! Lightbulbs in a Snake!
- johnkyoungoh, on 10/11/2007, -0/+19Now that's watt we call a bad idea.
- Error601, on 10/11/2007, -0/+18Reminds me of a line from Scrubs looking at an x-ray: Either this guy has a light bulb up his ass or his colon just had a great idea.

- neoform, on 10/11/2007, -1/+17No each snake actually contains a miniature black hole that consumes matter, that way they can keep eating and never have to poop.
- fatlip, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13you know damn well what he was thinking!
"because i can" - borninda818, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13I bet it died an excruciatingly painful death.
- PhilH, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13From now on, all light bulbs sold in that state will have to bear the text: "Warning: Not suitable for snakes."
- wvannus, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13Too bad noone set up an EM field and lit those suckers up! That would be an awesome photo.
- MikeonTV, on 10/11/2007, -3/+12That cocky Ripley! He doesn't give two ***** if i believe it or not!
- stealth45, on 10/11/2007, -3/+9I bet they were delicious.
- PhilH, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5I doubt somebody could force that snake to eat something that it didn't want to eat.
It was merely a case of mistaken identity: the snake identified it as a meal, and the x-ray identifies it as a light bulb. I'm sure the snake will be fine, they swallow and regurgitate this kind of thing all the time. - smackhero, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6i'm actually kinda disturbed by this photo. did that snake die? cuz i can't see how it could digest those, and if they ever broke, the chemicals would probably kill the snake if it didn't die from internal damage. it's kinda sad.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4So does this guy
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDEIYflt6IA - zweben, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3So you only avoid stepping on snakes with light bulbs in them?
- jeriqo, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4First sentence: green thumb.
Second: RED. - aforsberg, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3PUN OVERLOAD! PUN OVERLOAD!
- DjOverEZ, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Talk about a light meal! ...Thank you, thank you I'll be here all week. Try the veal.
- jubilee123, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3still got the view, still got the digg and without the "coolest pic ever!" "title explains it all" *****.
- ARanc, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Thats would suck if they cracked
- woodyear99, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Light in Snake Moan!
- bat-21, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Snake achieves enlightenment.
- piwy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Seriously people, if the x-ray was made, they probably just removed them surgically. And to those people that whine about animal cruelty / negligence, i'd like to see you track every single movement your pet makes. This snake was probably let sliding around free in the house / room, and found the dude's (or gal's) stash of spare bulbs.
- endlessraining, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Whatever you do, dont step on that snake!
- Abaddon1125, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1An X-Ray is an EM field, yo.
- Digitalfilm43, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Just feed him some Alli....just don't stand behind him.
- user777, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1He is one dead snake.
- lvlolvlo, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Yeah I dunno how it kept the bulb from smashing but I guess ya never know.... Here's a couple of pics I remember coming across...
Warning NSFWS (Weak Stomachs)

More shots of the first one are here: http://python.lvlolvlo.net/ - ummagummas08, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Why two? You'd think after the first one it might reconsider its dietary supplement, but it decides to get both of them down?
'I've been ***** baseballs ever since' - MacGeekGuy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Why crushed glass? The snake didn't eat it crushed... so that's just harsh. Aan eye for an eye and a bulb for a bulb. Sheesh. ;)
- subliiime, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1It probably thought they were a couple of eggs and followed its instincts to swallow them.
- etx313, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Eat like snake. But not like that snake.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=tTXbMCOywVY - t0ny, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I bet from the xray he is at the vet and is going to have surgery.
- simplejoe79, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1well the x-ray looks kind of fake to me and did the snake mistook bulbs for rat? but then also why 2?.....
- Rikka, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2Dugg for the impossible quiz reference. If it isn't, then I'm a dumbass. sorry.
- calvmari, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1*****, the bulbs would have shattered in its stomach.
- noinsurance, on 11/05/2007, -0/+0Does anyone have this photo they can email me? Thank you in advance. mcspicka@msn.com
- darlyn, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Its an obvious photoshop ... why do the bulbs look like they're on?
- Sethwm2, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Sure is!! I don't think that I would want to be there to see that...
- kutuma, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0I think this is a fake. It looks like a fake and for X-Rays to go through glass like that the flesh would probably be completely invisible. But I'm no expert...
- SystemicAnomaly, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2I think the mice were interior decorating.
first step: seeing. - DawningImage, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0Even if it is a fake, it looks pretty cool
- resplence, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1Anyone else terribly tempted to step on them?
(Sorry if this comment was already made, but I'm not going to expand all replies and risk being logged out for the third time in minutes.) - Aereo, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1I'VE HAD IT WITH THESE ***** SNAKES
- jeriqo, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1Ok, that must be the iPhone version of the pic.
Can we get the large version?
Yahoo, please? -
