- Chapter80, on 10/12/2007, -4/+26By early Egyptians rule, the boaters got three tries to advance closer to God's Land - and they had to advance at least the distance of the number of fingers they had, times the distance of a standard pace. If they failed after 3 tries, then Punt was one option, Field Goal was the other.

As for the claim to be the oldest, I could swear I read somewhere that there are records in China dating back to 2500 B.C. or so talking about sea voyages... although they don't have the ships to prove it, the records themselves should hold some weight...
-olly - jjustice, on 10/12/2007, -8/+11It's unfortunate how often important historic locations happen to have names that uneducated people like me find hilarious...like Punt... :-)
- gage006, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3It'd be much better with some pictures...
- Punkymonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I posted this a week ago and only got 22 diggs.

It was not a movie about the oldest boat in the world. Oh, and the last time I checked, Egypt was not in West Africa. Yikes.
- psylence, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4My sarcasm-o-meter is a little off but I'm going to assume it has a high reading for your message.
- MonkeyLord, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1LMAO... There is a word in German that I can neither pronounce or spell. The word basically means better than awesome. You my man are that word. :-)

- msaleem, on 10/12/2007, -7/+3Punt was one, grunt was another, and indecipherable gibberish was the last resort.
- crazyfan, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1One Mr. Wyatt is trying to tell the viewer something a fictional story but telling them its completly true, so he is a fraud and a lier and wasted his entire life on decieving the public, therefore he is deemed a crackpot.
The other is a fictional character, get it FICTIONAL, meaning made up for entertainment sake, so the public knows what they are seeing is about made up people with made up situations.
Big diff - Parthymon, on 10/12/2007, -11/+0DUH! Everyone knows where they went, and it was called Atlantis. The continent of Atlantis, as Donovan tells us, was very close to the african continent ;)
