I'm curious. What's in it for you? Are you trying to get a pumped up account to sell it? What's the deal? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+36@ IvanB. Interesting you're also his friend.
- mr.gates, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2810,000 years IMPOSSIBLE! The BIBLE says the earth is 6,000 years old, there is no way this can be true.
- obrysii, on 10/12/2007, -3/+26Why...would he sell a digg account?
- Tenlow, on 10/12/2007, -2/+21In the Bible they use metric years.
- sockpuppets, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20In other news Larry King was relieved to see his childhood necklace has resurfaced.
- WaterDragon, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19Nowadays, though I comment on stories, I only digg them if I want to bookmark them. I am so sick of idiots who abuse digg...and people who think it is somehow special to have gotten a lot of stories to the front page. Who cares, except only the most pretentious, egotistical idiots, anyway?
- deanlowe, on 10/12/2007, -7/+21As long as he's not gaming or spamming, why the ***** do you guys care how much he Diggs?
- shiftt, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14because people that submit a lot of stories usually have a lot of friends
those friends digg most of the stories that he submits, hence increasing the chances of a story making it to the front page
if you own a lot of websites it's always in your interest to make it to the front page of digg to get as much traffic as you can get
so if I own 100 websites and I want to promote them, I'd buy an established digg account with friends that will digg my sites when I submit them
MiddleGirth, for every person that gets caught there are 5 that get away with it.
I'm not encouraging this, but that's how things work behind the scenes..popularity has its disadvantages. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13People have been banned for getting paid to submit stories. That's all I have to say on that.
- ROFLance, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12i clicked on the article and the ad confused me, i thought it was a picture of the necklace.. rofl
what i first saw:

scrolled down:
http://www.lance.hm/pictures/article/Picture%201.png - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10No ***** picture. How the ***** do you have an article like that without a picture?
- dralter, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Probably more than one person. Maybe even outsourced to India.
- chemicalrxn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Does anybody else think that wearing around a 13 centimeter spearhead on a string for seven years is ridiculous? Thirteen centimeters. Wouldn't that be uncomfortable?
- ROFLance, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7oops
http://www.lance.hm/pictures/article/Picture%202.png - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3From the sounds of it there are plenty of old arrowheads. Why begrudge someone a personal find?
To have that kind of a connection with something so old is special. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4You people need priorities...
- Petrarch1603, on 10/12/2007, -0/+210,000 years is an amazing long time
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clovis_point
anyone want to speculate that the people back then were connected with europe? New Brunswick is close to greenland iceland, etc. - cptn_cardboard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2why is the word "necklace" in the story in quotes?
- sh4des, on 10/12/2007, -5/+7must be the extended version, the one I read didn't say anything about 6000 years.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I guess because it's a spearhead used as a necklace and not a necklace.
- Petrarch1603, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@nokinja...impossible for it to be vikings, 10000 years ago was long long before them.
@beyond...your comment about nova scotia being close to russia has no bearing to my comment. did you even read what i said? - Petrarch1603, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1canadian nationalists are funny
- anillop, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Thank you for wasting all of our time with this pointless little rant. I don't give a crap what people pose as long as it isn't crap of spam. I think its time for MiddleGirth to get himself a life.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Gee, why read the friggin' story to find out? The page is basically a small paragraph. That's way too much to read these days.
- swizz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0good one :-)
- IvanB, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3"@ IvanB. Interesting you're also his friend."
Your point being? - Sibre, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm a little skeptical at the dating. We know very little about this find. How extensive was the archaeologist's 'examination'? If it truly was that old, I'm sure there would be a museum or private collector somewhere offering this woman quite a bit of money for that necklace.
- DrunkenPirate34, on 10/12/2007, -6/+6Who gives a ***** if his submissions are rigged/botted/get to front page by friends. His submissions have been good, so just look the other way.
- topicnation, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I can't believe it! Yes, really!
- darkbird, on 10/12/2007, -6/+5let me guess, you are also working for him, trying to give him more publicity!
- huiezer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0it must be one hellluva necklace
- gypsyjoe, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1What you meant to say, doc, was "You people need lives".
- lassel, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1That thing belongs on a museum.
Now she'll wear it as a necklace and within a few years she'll drop it and it will break in two. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1No it isn't !!!! Thats like saying Nova Scotia is close to Russia !!! My family has been the roots of down East since 1583 before it was Canada bud!
This great fins is of no relation to Greenland , this is Canada's find - chan0429, on 10/12/2007, -8/+6@MG at that and he's not even blog spaming!
- cvrefugee, on 10/12/2007, -6/+4The pearl necklaces I give don't last that long.
- Cam_86, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3dammit, i wanted to be the first to make a smart ass remark about this being impossible, since 6000 years ago the only things on earth was jesus, and his pet dinosaurs! Beaten to the punch :p
- WaterDragon, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2Damn! that's so old. She should get rid of it and get something new, for chrissakes!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1and this rock that got stuck in my shoe is probably a million years old. so?
- FrankieB078, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Uhhh...I wouldn't trust it....its a "Canadian" website you know...
- noreturn, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Jesus came around 2000 years ago, you dumbass.
BC = Before Christ
AD = Anno Domini (In the year of our lord)
Tenlow, your comment made me laugh out loud. I'm starting to get tired of people in the library looking at me funny. - mr.gates, on 10/12/2007, -7/+3They usually last until she wipes it off.
I'm a dirty man. - LucasKane, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1I'm suprised the 10,000 year old bacteria didn't kill her like I've read killed oil workers on digg
- ryanschmidt, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1bs.
- reject, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2The life of a DiggTinHatter: Find stories others submit and submit conspiracy theories in response to them, hoping to gain some sort of popularity by, "outing," those they do not know.
Awesome life. - superflym0f0, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2His stories are actually pretty good - I've just been checking at what he's been submitting.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2yeah, 10kyo necklaces for the suck; the submitter is OMGWEIRD
