I'm tired of seeing women trying to get pregnant at 16, succeeding, and then deciding to have the baby, only to ***** up the guy's life (who had NO say in it).
If most women could get pregnant without men, they would. They think the man has no rights, only responsibilities with the baby they selfishly decided to poop out.
So let them have a baby by themselves. Let them have their sad little existence, and let the guys just live their lives and be productive in the world. - 3tcp, on 07/10/2009, -0/+43Not before robotics research makes women obsolete.
- NightC, on 07/10/2009, -3/+39These women now a days... they are really full of themselves aren't they?
- PxCxG, on 07/10/2009, -1/+36But who will women nag, then?
- Thrustmaster, on 07/11/2009, -0/+33No because a test tube can't write a child support check.
- thaprinze, on 07/11/2009, -1/+32I can't read for *****. I thought Will Ferrell was researching something... :(
- wallclimber, on 07/10/2009, -0/+24Q: "Will Fertility Research Make Men Obsolete?"
A: No, because the world still needs people that know how to parallel park...at least until flying cars become the norm. (hey, I'm just kidding...men will always be a beloved part of humanity - especially the ones that remember to put the seat down ;)
- 4AntiStupid, on 07/10/2009, -0/+23Not unless fertility research will kill spiders in the laundry room.
- CrankMyBlueSax, on 07/10/2009, -2/+25Pssst ...... fellas, they don't want or need us for our sperm. Gold-digging whores will always be on the lookout for a sugar daddy.
- Xaevier, on 07/11/2009, -1/+20I dunno about you guys but with modern day dishwashers, roombas, laundromats and takeout I think women have actually been obsolete for years.
- BREZZZ, on 07/11/2009, -1/+19No. Men will always be kept around as emotional punching bags, chauffeurs and income sources. The only difference is we won't be given the only job we like: kid maker.
- BrokenCircle, on 07/11/2009, -0/+14You are just one big sack of troll ***** aren't you?
- Burento, on 07/10/2009, -1/+15Bah... There will always be the religious girls who don't believe in artificial life. Just means everyone will have to go back to church to get some action again... like it used to be. :)
- Hetman, on 07/10/2009, -0/+13Most women are attracted to males. Therefor they will always need men. Same way with guys, most men are attracted to women so we will need women around. Unless of course we can find a way to produce replicants. Then it is a whole different story.
- echopraxia, on 07/11/2009, -1/+11Who will make the babies in test tubes without men scientists...... women scientists ? hahahaha
- 0biKwiet, on 07/11/2009, -0/+10If the only purpose of the male was to provide sperm, the system is catastrophically retarded anyway. Women are physically and mentally specialized for bearing and nurturing children. They are not so specialized that they are comparatively useless at everything else, but there are some things that men have a natural, specialized advantage at as well. The whole point in having two sexes is to provide strength through specialization. That way, we are as a whole better of than if we are all the same, but we are still enough alike that we all still have a great deal of versatility.
- diceau, on 07/11/2009, -2/+11Go ***** yourself, mam.
- diceau, on 07/11/2009, -1/+10Will socially deprived article writers ever understand what real life is?
Don't bother getting angry at bs articles like this ... go talk to any normal female out there and they'll tell you how much they need a man in their lives - not for money, but companionship and having that special someone to adore like no other, and the same goes for men with their women.
It's sad that some people don't seem to understand that. Instead of striving for a society of true respect, equality and appreciation, they come out with this nonsense where they're going to attempt to make a gender redundant.
Not much different from racism ... just far worse. Not to mention how badly things go when you neglect the natural process. Good luck with your freak babies. - inactive, on 07/10/2009, -2/+10Are you sure? Have you talked to any wannabe-mommas?
They all want a boy because they think their tiny penises are so cute (yes, their choice to have a baby is based upon cuteness alone - wait until they change diapers and wake up 20 times per night).
The boy population would skyrocket! Therefore reducing the world population after only 1 generation, since those boys would probably want to have an actual career instead of following their mommy's steps to epic failure. - GeyserShitdick, on 07/11/2009, -2/+10Why don't you obsolete THIS?
*points to crotch* - thePTS, on 07/11/2009, -0/+8sandwiches..
- thePTS, on 07/11/2009, -0/+7I guess I shouldn't take this seriously, but meh, I have 5 minutes to kill.
The thing is, men have basically created the modern world as it is today. In the western world, we have, together with women, made it a safe and extremely woman-friendly place to live, almost to the point where old male concepts and ways of doing things are forgotten.
If we want people to work night and day to fight diseases and keep the world up to date and progressing, we need men. Men are many times more likely to sacrifice their living time in the pursuit of that, than women.
Does that answer the original question? - diggbru, on 07/10/2009, -2/+8Oh noes.
- Leviathan433, on 07/11/2009, -0/+6Not if there is any math involved.
- inactive, on 07/11/2009, -0/+6Not really, considering...
- NJSlacker, on 07/11/2009, -1/+6geez. How many kids do you have?
- buddamus, on 07/11/2009, -0/+5The Child Support Agency is a joke, they accused me of fathering my own brother at the age of 3!!!
- Nubli, on 07/11/2009, -0/+5Their kids.
- diceau, on 07/11/2009, -0/+5She's gone, quick, go for help, hurry!
- NightC, on 07/10/2009, -3/+7Good point.... but eventually there will be no guy's left because they will just choose to have girls.
- Acesolid, on 07/11/2009, -1/+5Man, imagine if there was an article saying that we dont need women anymore because of some new in vitro way to create babies in tube. And that "finaly" men, who are able to easily bring money home and take care of children, will soon be able to go without them.
The guy who wrote that would probably lose his job, and have a police investigation against him. You got to love the double standarts in our society. - Leviathan433, on 07/11/2009, -0/+4when clearly you had just turned 4.
- thePTS, on 07/11/2009, -2/+5Come on..
In India and China, many people would rather have a boy than a girl, and this attitude, that a boy has more potential for glory, still remains in the west between the lines. Look at history, men basically created the modern world in their image. Sure, there are female innovators and heroes here and there, but in very low numbers compared to men. So how do you think women feel? Esp women "who have just been taken for granted", like you describe yourself to have been?
Women have had this feeling of being the useless ones, for a long time. I remember my ex-girlfriend really was marked by this too, and would really take it seriously even if you made a small joke about women being inferior.
I think the statement in the original article is a counter-reaction to this feeling of inferiority, more than anything else. - WordsnCollision, on 07/10/2009, -1/+4Harsh...
- monkeysama, on 07/11/2009, -8/+11(then deciding to have the baby, only to ***** up the guy's life (who had NO say in it*).
*except for deciding to ejaculating inside of her - 3tcp, on 07/11/2009, -1/+4I sure hope that wasn't a reply to leviathan433 O.o
- Leviathan433, on 07/11/2009, -0/+3and where will they go when they need a good DD? Somebody's got to lay the pipe.
- zombo, on 07/11/2009, -2/+4I'm going to open a dildo factory just in case.
- theBean42, on 07/11/2009, -0/+2eeeww dude, that's gross. What's wrong with you?
:) - Frostek, on 07/11/2009, -1/+3Perhaps we should just begin work on part 2?
Artificial wombs... Now who's obsolete? - merm, on 07/11/2009, -0/+2>To those of us who never had a girlfriend or who girls have just taken for granted, like me, this is really bad ***** news. Are you going to kill off all of the babies that turn out to be boys too?
Holy ***** man you must be dealing with some serious inferiority issues. It's not like the only reason women are attracted to men is for their sperm and that women the world over are conspiring to dispose of mankind. Your inferiority complex is getting in the way of reality man, you should have that checked out - I'm serious please seek help before you hurt someone out of "self defense". - waspbr, on 07/11/2009, -0/+2Absolutely not, if men are gone, then who is going to open all the jars of jam?
- thePTS, on 07/11/2009, -0/+2Really? The muscle argument?
If you're thinking about carrying stuff around, you are forgetting that the preference for male babies was present up to (and maybe even more at) the highest levels of society, including kings and queens, where no muscular power was required.
We have had many strong female leaders too, like the British queens or Egyptian female leaders like Cleopatra. So women have been given the chance too, but males were preferred.
I'm not saying that it was right, but that is the way it was. - Shenaniganz08, on 07/11/2009, -1/+3Aww how cute, looks like the author of the article got lost
can someone help her find her way back to the kitchen ? - jrm125, on 07/11/2009, -0/+2Chicks love the *****.
- Fragged58, on 07/11/2009, -0/+2Female president? ha ha I think not!
- waspbr, on 07/11/2009, -0/+2yeah, all those single mums have it easy
/s - log1k, on 07/11/2009, -0/+2unless they can engineer everything to pop out lesbians every time....! :O
- Colinho22, on 07/11/2009, -1/+3Wow, I'm glad I'm not the only one.
- lorddazzer, on 07/11/2009, -0/+1Hmmm... the ultimate dilemma for Religious Feminists.
