- smurf22, on 06/15/2008, -2/+20At least some countries are studying stem cells. What religious people have to realize is that not all stem cells come from aborted babies.
- inactive, on 06/15/2008, -2/+15Major discoveries are what happens when actually put PUBLIC FUNDING into researching embryonic stem cells unlike this idiotic administration.
- happyseamonster, on 06/15/2008, -2/+10This great news! Unless of course McCain gets in and adds more Medieval judges.
- marinebro0306, on 06/15/2008, -1/+74 MORE MONTHS! 4 MORE MONTHS!
- peterjmag, on 06/15/2008, -0/+4Go die in a ***** hole, bigot.
- RSS14, on 06/15/2008, -1/+5Even if they do come from aborted babies, we should still use them. Most fetuses are thrown away, and wasted. I hate it when religion impedes scientific progress . . .
- grantHamNeck, on 06/15/2008, -0/+3I think you'll find no one likes your posts.
- LukeBeaumont, on 06/16/2008, -0/+2Yeah, although the best ones do, the Pluripotent stem cells.
- Janizzary, on 06/15/2008, -1/+2McCain might support stem-cell research now, but the man flip-flops so much, who knows what would happen were he to become president...
- Commonwealth, on 06/15/2008, -0/+1oooookaaay...

End of second paragraph. - VinceNoir, on 06/16/2008, -0/+1Oh shaddup!
- spuddddddd, on 06/16/2008, -0/+1"What religious people have to realize is that not all stem cells come from aborted babies."
True, but the literal, scientific benefit of stem cells is yet to be proved. Honestly, could you tell me one benefit outlined in the report given here?
Also, the report is from Science Daily, who are hardly an unbiased source on the matter, if we're being analytical about this... - atchon, on 06/15/2008, -1/+2onetimerhater you have posted three posts on this story which are racist, and numerous other ones on other stories. I think it is time for a name change.
- atchon, on 06/15/2008, -0/+0How about stop being a ***** bigot and posting absolutely ludicrous "evidence" to back up your hatred of a group. As someone with a background in science, and a understanding of anatomy and anthropology I can tell you that the stuff on the genomic differences, evolution halting for africans, and the bone differences making them closer to apes is not true. Everything you have said is a load of racist ***** only a ***** moron would believe.
- inactive, on 06/16/2008, -1/+1If by support, you mean introduce regulation which would totally gimp any and all progress in the field. McCane doesn't understand science or technology.
- buywowgoldz, on 07/30/2008, -0/+0Go stem cells!
http://newyorkrealestateblogger.com/ - Eric3k, on 06/16/2008, -0/+0All I did was state the facts as they stand. Both support stem cell research. What's such a big deal about that... most people do. Really the two candidates are different enough you don't have to make false divides between them. That's what you had to do between Hillery and Obama... not McCain and Obama. Just vote the issues. There is no reason to demonize these two. I don't think either is the awfullest person as politicians go. It's very easy to pick according to their agendas tho. Why not just do that?
- Auxon, on 06/16/2008, -1/+1What you have to realize is that not all religious people think that they do in the first place.
- sd11208, on 06/15/2008, -2/+1oh snap.
- mydjtl, on 06/15/2008, -3/+0If they are able to do the following then the US will be able to enter the world of stem cell research since these cells will be much less controversial...
"we think that these 'stemness' hotspots are the most critical points in the genetic blueprint of ES cells. By targeting these hotspots, we may be able to reconnect the wiring in non-stem cells and jump-start the stem cell program in them. This can potentially create an inexhaustible source of clinically useful cells for regenerative medicine or cell based therapies in the future." - Eric3k, on 06/15/2008, -6/+2Both McCain and Obama support embryonic stem cell research. Really you have have to read something on issues before you comment.
