- mgenovese, on 02/16/2008, -17/+78You get all the way to the top, and then post a mega-pixelated photo. Nice.
- deanoplex, on 02/16/2008, -0/+50Where the air is so thin that putting on a glove is like trying to figure out a SAT question.
- Emnsta, on 02/16/2008, -4/+47"Roddy Mackenzie, who climbed the mountain in 1989"
1989 ***** - UnterDenLinden, on 02/16/2008, -2/+38Sorry, next time I'll carry my 50 pound panoramic camera and hope the battery works at -30 degrees.
- p014k, on 02/16/2008, -3/+38No, I just wallpapered this on my 360 degree monitor, fits nice.
O, by the way, your future self says hi. - polishdude06, on 02/16/2008, -1/+35Sweet, now I don't have to climb to the top to see for myself. *checks that off list*
- iPsyko, on 02/16/2008, -2/+34even the smallest mountains that are enshrouded by the low-lying clouds are higher than anything you or i would have the balls to climb.
- boonesfarm, on 02/16/2008, -5/+36RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII COLA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- crazydiode, on 02/16/2008, -1/+29even the picture is soo serene. I wonder how it actually would be on the top. Awesome picture.
- cambob76, on 02/16/2008, -6/+31I could climb that but I just don't want to.
- cadmstr, on 02/16/2008, -0/+25A worthy thing to do before you die, since there is a good chance you can achieve both at the same time.
- tomarocco, on 02/16/2008, -1/+22Many have died trying to see that view in person. It is no small feat. Getting down alive is much harder than climbing up.
- KeithA45, on 02/16/2008, -1/+20Perfect for the Digg user with a crazy-weird resolution like 3000 x 420
- Subriot, on 02/16/2008, -1/+19Awesome view, but those damn JPEG artifacts.
- iPsyko, on 02/16/2008, -0/+18NICE CLEAR CAPS

- mediaspree, on 02/16/2008, -4/+15This looks like a job for Powersauce bars.
- OneLess, on 02/16/2008, -4/+13***** awesome photo that many have not seen before? CHECK
Requisite moron who _has_ seen it before and can only cry about it? CHECK - muniak, on 02/16/2008, -0/+9..."***** IT'S COLD"
- p014k, on 02/16/2008, -0/+8No, thats what your advanced headset/glasses combo is for, so you can see 260 degrees.
If you were alive in the future, you would know. - neoking77, on 02/16/2008, -4/+11another thing to do before I die
- topgigmedia, on 02/16/2008, -0/+7please keep these metaphors to yourself
- twistymcgee, on 02/16/2008, -4/+11CAN YOU PLEASE SPEAK UP? WE CAN'T HEAR YOU.
- discostu88, on 02/16/2008, -1/+7So was your lame comment. Why do you click on the link, when you already know what it is? Why am I even talking to you? It's a waste of everyone's time.
- Remccs, on 02/16/2008, -0/+6sledding anyone?
- 4LeggedtriPod, on 02/16/2008, -7/+13In a word. Freezing.
- SpicyViper, on 02/16/2008, -0/+6has my future self got a girlfriend yet?
- kajoob, on 02/16/2008, -0/+5Yes, but she has a penis. Can't win 'em all.

- inactive, on 02/16/2008, -0/+5damn what if he forgot to take the lens cap off
- joegibes, on 02/16/2008, -0/+5It's full of empty oxygen tanks and crappy nylon flags EVERYWHERE up there. It's like a garbage dump.
- ChromaVita, on 02/16/2008, -0/+4Don't rain on his parade.
- sfcaptainrob, on 02/16/2008, -4/+8Hey I can see my house from there!
- muniak, on 02/16/2008, -0/+4I don't think I would like that, I would have to physically move to find windows and such =/

http://digg.com/tech_news/360_Degree_Panorama_From ... - elnerdo, on 02/16/2008, -1/+4No it wouldn't. The process would be miserable and stupid, and the view would look the same.
- kris33, on 02/16/2008, -4/+7Does anybody have a less compressed version?
- Insomnya3AM, on 02/16/2008, -0/+3Made with apple cores and Chinese newspapers.
"Hey! I didn't know Lao Ming died!" - iDiggIt42, on 02/16/2008, -0/+3Sure.
Earth is 7,926.41 miles in diameter. That's 502217337.6 inches. A billiards ball is 2 and 1/4 inches in diameter. A scale factor of 223207705.6 inches. Everest is 29029 feet in height, or 348348 inches. Divide that by the scale factor and we get .0015 inches or so. .002 inches is the smoothness tolerance.
In other words, it is small enough. - jjmckay, on 02/16/2008, -0/+3Most impressive. Obi-Wan has taught you well. You have controlled your fear. Now, release your anger. Only your hatred can destroy me.
- Nixxo, on 02/16/2008, -0/+2why did i click the view comment, then click replies, uggg its a cycle, and someone is gonna click on view my comment, and post about the wasted time of their lives.....
- jjmckay, on 02/16/2008, -0/+2You have the balls to back that up?
- AxemRed, on 02/16/2008, -0/+2Er, a little unrelated...
- Holk23, on 02/16/2008, -1/+3in the process of sounding sarcastic and obviously trying to sound intelligent... you made yourself look like a complete dumbass
- OneLess, on 02/16/2008, -0/+2Imagine that as high as that mountain is, it would be within smoothness tolerance levels for billiard balls if the Earth were shrunk down proportionally.
- sq2shooter, on 02/16/2008, -0/+2I feel cold just looking at that.
