- chrisinsocalif, on 03/25/2008, -0/+9I know I excrete a lot of DNA at my computer thanks to the internet, I hope I can finally put that to use!
- LukeBeaumont, on 03/25/2008, -0/+2There are actually a lot more possibilities using complementary pairing with the 4 DNA molecules than there are with the binary system. I for one welcome DNA computing.
- AMSRay, on 03/25/2008, -0/+2Have they read the Seventh Son Trilogy? They need to make sure John Alpha doesn't get access to it.
- enlightenme, on 03/25/2008, -0/+1So the password will be some combination of ATGC ?
- thecatcantalk, on 03/25/2008, -0/+1Can't wait for the first Japanese Cylon sex slave. With enzymatic chastity belt, to keep the kids from playing with her when I'm at work.
- Ramble, on 03/25/2008, -0/+1My Acorn needs an Acorn.
- robotto, on 03/25/2008, -0/+1Wow that means that computers can 'catch' real and virtual viruses and possibly mutate. Oh jolly....
- apophenic, on 03/26/2008, -0/+1I don't get why a password that needs to be entered with physical chemicals is better than a password. It's more time consuming, and the article doesn't say if it's any stronger.
The article itself is actually pretty fluffy, too :/ - xeyne, on 03/25/2008, -0/+1...and people can get pc viruses/trojan/spyware
- ripple123, on 03/25/2008, -0/+1Watch out for that monthly defrag man, it can be a killer.
- jayscot, on 03/25/2008, -0/+1Hold on, my pc needs a snack.
- Zaggynl, on 03/25/2008, -0/+1Too much information D:
- ItsLoseNotLoose, on 03/25/2008, -0/+1It's "saw", not "seen".
- play150, on 03/25/2008, -2/+3Totally seen it coming.
- Harabeck, on 03/25/2008, -0/+1The actual problem, according to my professor, who does a lot of research into it, isnt speed. Potentially complex problems that usually take exponential time, could be constant with dna. The problem is, youd need enough dna to fill the ocean to do a problem of any size.
- robotto, on 03/25/2008, -0/+1My apple needs an apple
- McFrugal, on 03/25/2008, -2/+2The future, Conan?
- Harabeck, on 03/25/2008, -1/+1the whole point of binary is that there are only two bits, it reduces error.
- meropealcyone, on 03/25/2008, -0/+0***** cocksocket.
- mediumofmeaning, on 09/08/2009, -1/+1sweet, i just cant wait til my computer has a vagina, too.
- inactive, on 03/25/2008, -2/+1I have some 'enzymes' it can compute. But seriously, is this a branch of bioemtric security or a totally new field?
- iamthearm, on 03/25/2008, -1/+0Does anybody read these stupid articles?
- stvalentino, on 03/25/2008, -3/+1this post can be the perfect answer for the always asked question.......does biotechnology really benefits human being?
http://www.onlineweblibrary.com/blog/?p=288 - Ramble, on 03/25/2008, -5/+1Too slow for normal computing, rates of diffusion, etc.
