- tech10171968, on 07/21/2008, -5/+21Actually, that's an U.S. fighter in the picture. The RCAF (Royal Canadian Air Force) doesn't even fly the F-15 (source: http://www.helium.com/items/1038098-all-about-the- ...
But the Canadian CF-18 still kicks ass. - vroom101, on 07/21/2008, -9/+20Two spectacular photos of the U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jet . . .

- OllyHagen, on 07/21/2008, -1/+9You have a "Cool Pictures" folder?
- soulonfire928, on 07/21/2008, -7/+15When I was down in Virginia there was this one place by some abandoned railroad tracks by Oceania where people would park and watch pilots do what they called a touch and go. They'd take off, fly around in a big circle, land for all of 5 seconds, then without stopping, immediately took back off again. Coming in, they flew so close overhead-you could make out all the characteristics of the pilot's face. Shook like hell too. Awesome to watch though.
- AdmiralKarelia, on 07/21/2008, -0/+5The CF-18 (officially called the CF-188) is simply an F/A-18 that was given different but equal upgrades as the American F/A-18. Just because you popped a new radar dish in the nose doesn't make it a new plane.
And for the record, the F/A-18 Hornet was developed by McDonnell Douglas, but they have since merged with Boeing, giving Boeing ownership of all copyrights to the F/A-18's design. - vroom101, on 07/21/2008, -2/+7Watch the takeoff of this U.S. Navy F-18E/F Super Hornet

- rearlgrant, on 07/21/2008, -3/+7Can someone who knows such things explain the orange to the left of the left engine (that's plane left, not picture left).
- Rossoneri22, on 07/21/2008, -0/+3looks like an orange light or bright colored object in the background that's being distorted by the exhaust.
- gizmo1354, on 07/21/2008, -0/+3It appears to be a building in the background that is blurred thanks to a combination of shallow depth of field + jetwash blurring it out.
- AlexanderBlue, on 07/21/2008, -0/+3I didn't realize NASCAR had fighter jets.
- RGSPro, on 07/21/2008, -0/+2*****... "call me ***** one more time"

- rearlgrant, on 07/22/2008, -0/+2That and when I go to Vancouver, people talk that way. I love getting my friends to say "Out and About in a Boat." I never get tired of that one, saddly they do.
SCTV is a fave -- "I gotta take a leak so bad I can taste it." - azntiger1000, on 07/22/2008, -0/+2Talking about scorched earth...

- Virgule, on 07/21/2008, -0/+1You mean the blurry stuff?
Thats exhaust fumes. Its blowing a hell of a lot of hot air. These toys burn so much fuel its not funny. - AlexanderBlue, on 07/21/2008, -0/+1"Aboot" = "About" said with a Canadian accent.

- CodeMunkey, on 07/21/2008, -0/+0Not anymore. Virginia Beach fenced this area off and posted "No Trespassing" signs. The last few times I was down there the police actively patrolled the area and made anyone who tried to stop leave.
