Sorry. I just had to say it. - nymphetamine, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9"Of the 29 assistants, 17 were already, or were later, Nóbel prizes."

- lowbot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'd say the Whole Earth photo is the most famous. Then the famous moon landing with the flag. And of course the Einstein tongue.
- Rhine23, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"the title write "The more famous scientific photo of history", not most...."
Its translated from spanish in spanish "mas" is most - tocksin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1you've obviously never been to MIT

That's ok, Schrödinger is both in the picture and not in the picture. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@Rhine23
"Its translated from spanish in spanish "mas" is most"
más in Spanish means "more", as in "Más y menos." which means "More or less." (also a superhero duo in Teen Titans animated series)
"lo más" in Spanish can be translated to "most". - CerebralVisions, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Are they throwing up gang signs in the front row?

Woah, Einstein actually has black hair at that time. I guess they all met more than once, since in the original picture, he looks classic with his white/taint of black .. "Jay Leno style" .. fuzzy hair. - Rhine23, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i doubt its fake

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This should have been titled "The most rarely laid people on earth".
- CanuckPlumber, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If they could only see us now.
- mweisbein, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have/had a Biochemistry profressor who posted something similar. It was a picture from a conference he had arranged and in it were like 5-10 people who went on to win like nobel prizes or the like for discovering like key compounds and enzymes.
- codyman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wait... I think I see Mick Jagger! Oh wait, my bad, its just some other guy.. although Mick Jagger probably was around at this time considering how ancient he and the "Tomb Stones" are... :-)

Captain Jen Luc Picard is in the picture? - cawpin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Great picture of Mme. Curie...she is simply glowing!"
That is quite possibly the most entertaining comment I have ever read. Good job, man! - JorgeGT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0not, he's A. Piccard, since in Spanish we say "TO" as "A", and it's automatically translated ;)

I guess space travel, computer science, atomic energy, et al don't count? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0@RobotCitizen
It's not just history and science that are lost on the younger generations, language and composition skills are also at a minimum, replaced by vastly more important Netspeak and SMS skills. Formal education is a little overrated anyway, kids will grow up to become star athletes, crime scene investigators, or a technology start-up CEO, none of which has any basis in formal education, they just happen if you wish hard enough. - efisher, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I've seen this picture before in science history books. This meeting was part of a series with some of the established big names of Physics and up and coming young turks having it out over new concepts of Quantum Mechanics. Even Einstein resisted some of the new ideas and ended up following a blind alley for the rest of his life. Heisenberg is there but his exact location in the photo can never be known with certainty.
- androgeek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I work for Solvay - Uncle Ernie! (Ernest Solvay). The same group of people pose for a different picture that hangs in the lobby of the corporate office. Ernie rocks, plus his AMEX card buys lunch.
- carpespasm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Schrödinger's cat is not in the pic, probably dead"
Schrödinger's cat may or may not be dead when the picture was taken. - dstz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Schrödinger's cat may or may not be dead when the picture was taken.
If all those people really were scientists (sientists that can't take a color photo lol), theyd check it once for all.
*rolleyes* - JorgeGT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Poor Schrödinger... poor Heisenberg... hehe :P
Am I the first wondering about a bit of poison on their wine?
Welcome to a different world, mankind... :P
Remember guys, do not time-travel there!! - RobotCitizen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Almost all of them have the little hitler moustache going on."
Hitler ruined the Charlie Chaplin moustache for everyone. Anyway, awesome photo. What an assortment of genius.
And yes it's real! Jeezus Christ on bicycle! We're not teaching science in school anymore, we're not teaching history, WTF are we teaching?! - gamabunta, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Wheres Dvorak?"

- Konquest, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0For all people claiming that it's fake, get some scientific culture and type "solvay conference" in Google. Type it in Google Images and you'll find a plethora of copies of this particular photo.
Take a look here if you are too lazy to google... :P
