  • DteK, on 11/15/2007, -0/+2I have actually seen this in person off the coast of Gloucester Ma. on a whale watch (not sure the actual species of whale, but looks similar with the baleen). These pics do not do the size of these animals justice. Absolutely massive.

    Its cool to watch them feed. As they rise to the surface they release air to create a massive wake of bubbles that disorients fish and eels and makes them rise to the surface where the whales feed on them. Truly a site to behold.
