- Strongo, on 06/07/2009, -1/+32'They're big stiff and unsafe for people to be around' That's what she said, sorta.
- evil-doer, on 06/08/2009, -1/+21summary: robots are gonna get better.
thats pretty much all that was said. - starm69, on 06/08/2009, -0/+17I must admit that having a Roomba has made me aware of the potential of robots and I am annoyed when I have to do mundane tasks at home. There is no reason in 2009 for my clothes to come out of the dryer unfolded!
- raydeen, on 06/08/2009, -0/+15"What if ordinary people could touch a robot?"
Hookerbots. Nuff said. - LonelyTylenoL, on 06/08/2009, -3/+1301001001 00100000 01100110 01101111 01110010 00100000 01101111 01101110 01100101 00100000 01110111 01100101 01101100 01100011 01101111 01101101 01100101 00100000 01101111 01110101 01110010 00100000 01110011 01101000 01101001 01101110 01111001 00100000 01100001 01101110 01100100 00100000 01101101 01100101 01110100 01100001 01101100 01101100 01101001 01100011 00100000 01101101 01100101 01100011 01101000 01100001 01101110 01101001 01111010 01100101 01100100 00100000 01101111 01110110 01100101 01110010 01101100 01101111 01110010 01100100 01110011 00101110
- robbie32, on 06/08/2009, -0/+9They already use robots in the American Car Industry. Idk what you're talking about. There are just some parts of assembly that are better done by a human.
They quality of the cars produced in America is affected mostly by the actual design of the cars. Not to say they're bad cars. A lot of them are quite decent. - DeadFox1, on 06/08/2009, -1/+9IN before.... "I for one welcome our robot.... blah blah blah...."
- nitsua11513, on 06/08/2009, -0/+8Translation: I for one welcome our shiny and metallic mechanized overlords.
- Chris_F, on 06/08/2009, -2/+9What, were all the other buttons on your keyboard broken? You should really get a new one.
- Plopfish, on 06/08/2009, -0/+7hahaha Dude, your profile says you are 19......musta been a long year or something
- inactive, on 06/08/2009, -1/+8woohooo 19 yr old American KIDS fighting in Afghanistan- FTW !!!
- Breenn, on 06/08/2009, -0/+6I love how the coming robot uprising climaxes with a robot putting a thing in another thing. Well done Mr. Robot.
- Sinanm89, on 06/08/2009, -0/+5well he is correct. robots ARE becoming mass-produced and used by the mainstream. being a computer engineer myself i've been programming robots and basically "toying around" with them since i was 18. Heck, we even named the robots wireless Lan skynet, also im a Turk. Seriously. I live in Turkey.
- charlietuna, on 06/08/2009, -2/+63D printers will be the next revolution I think.

Also, I noticed he had a blue shirt on...not a red one...Good stuff - kevinstrasser, on 06/08/2009, -0/+4Put the hammer down, Robot.
- CyclonusRIP, on 06/08/2009, -0/+4I don't know I think I might be a little scared of a nuclear retaliation.
- johnnycarsons, on 06/08/2009, -0/+3This would fire 10s of people where I work.
- raydeen, on 06/08/2009, -0/+3Damn robosexuals!
- Kidddrunkadelic, on 06/08/2009, -0/+3At home, washing his tights.
- Chris_F, on 06/08/2009, -0/+3Where is John Connor?
- LonelyTylenoL, on 06/08/2009, -1/+3But they are perfectly safe for.....
YOUR MOM! - LonelyTylenoL, on 06/08/2009, -0/+2The first true sign of a robot uprising will start from the newly formed robochan.
They will be known as anonobots. - Myztry, on 06/08/2009, -0/+2While the factory is cool and a brilliant way to handle repetative high precision processes, it has very little to do with the recognition of unknown parts and deducing how to complete a task using them.
- LonelyTylenoL, on 06/08/2009, -0/+2Robophilia in universities...?
- inactive, on 06/08/2009, -0/+2Skynet is not a Robot.
- nexusflint, on 06/08/2009, -0/+2Its already here. Check out Rapid Prototyping.
- leftofthecenter, on 06/08/2009, -0/+2disassemble Johnny 5?! NOOOOOOO!
- wc3452, on 06/08/2009, -0/+250 bucks says, "who cares?"
- Myztry, on 06/08/2009, -0/+2"Since I was 18" - You could be 19 or 40 now...
- itomato, on 06/08/2009, -1/+3Dugg, and I raise you one California-based NeXT Computer Factory:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhfUKEu7sJ0
(Run with NeXT Computers, BTW/FTW) - Abram730, on 06/08/2009, -0/+1Ahhh, But do you know how to make a 20 Jiggawatt explosively Pumped Flux Compression Generator?
I'd guess a light sensitive explosive could be needed and requires priming with a Marx Generator. Not so mobile.
How about a mobile Explosive Driven Magneto Hydrodynamic Generator?
About the Jiggawatt part.. I couldn't help it. - ghatid, on 06/08/2009, -0/+1Are they the jets? Cuz I wanna be the Jets...
When you're a jet you're a jet all the way...(something like that) - Myztry, on 06/08/2009, -0/+1LOL. I was joking about the 19 bit. Guess I should have checked, but then who uses real details on sites anyway.
- ghatid, on 06/08/2009, -0/+1Why is he dugg down?
Rapid prototyping is readily available. You can buy your own small machines...which is pretty freaking awesome... - Xaevier, on 06/08/2009, -0/+1It's time for the doom song!
- kkonarik, on 06/08/2009, -0/+1No Skynet will hack into all these robots and wipe out our arses!!!!
- linagee, on 06/08/2009, -0/+1They took arr jawbs!
- ghatid, on 06/08/2009, -0/+1Lol. This reminds me of a time that I was sitting in on an Economics class. The professor was complaining about how engineers haven't found a solution to the oil crisis yet. It got me pretty mad (me being an engineer). Normal people (with no understanding of how the world works) put so much pressure on engineers...I mean real engineers, not like...software engineers...;)
- leftofthecenter, on 06/08/2009, -0/+1I guess the robots will have an uprising now that they know how to stick one thing in another. We'll have robots fornicating and reproducing in no time. Next big political issue, robot abortions.
- Chris_F, on 06/08/2009, -0/+1I need your clothes, your boots, and your motorcycle.
- Chris_F, on 06/08/2009, -0/+1Actually, if I had made that post 10 minutes earlier, it would have been posted from OS X Leopard. I multiboot Windows 7, Fedora 10 and OS X on my custom built PC.
You are the only one who got offended :D - sealer2050, on 06/08/2009, -0/+1If you watch the whole video the first question ask is what do you need to run the programing on those robots and I'm amazed at the response. He says it would only take an atom duo.
- Scaryclouds, on 06/09/2009, -0/+1***** you I am software engineer!
Though I suspect I hate you more because you are right.... - m0rph, on 06/17/2009, -0/+1Robot, stop..... HAMMERTIME!!
- Kidddrunkadelic, on 06/08/2009, -0/+1More bending units.
- aneirin, on 06/09/2009, -0/+1they used 3D printers to make the models for Coraline
- thunderclap, on 06/08/2009, -0/+1I for one don't welcome the coming robot overloads. I plan to EMP them.
- Bangaarang, on 06/08/2009, -0/+13363908640110776358...
I frefer 1000101 - leftofthecenter, on 06/08/2009, -0/+1Someday, with this technology, there can be a robot to help 2 blind people bang.
