- breadfred, on 11/01/2009, -1/+15I think Blaine is a self-obsessed attention whore. But that is just me.
- darthjure, on 11/01/2009, -2/+11I like David Blaine, but I think he's killed a lot of brain cells over the years doing those stunts. He moves and talks slower than he did at the beginning of his career. His eyes look lifeless.
- TheFamousOne2, on 11/01/2009, -3/+10Your eyes would look lifeless too if you had no oxygenated blood flowing to your brain for plus seventeen minutes.
- mfrenkie, on 11/01/2009, -0/+7I was actually at TEDMED this week, and I have to say that Blaine was one of the nicest, most humble guys imaginable. He taught a bunch of us how to hold our breath for 3-4 minutes, went out of his way to start conversation and say hi, and was just way, way nicer than I expected. His talk (which will be online in a few weeks) was also pretty amazing... It took a lot of training to do what he did and he was very humble about it.
- bazzarr, on 11/01/2009, -1/+8Where is the TED talk??
- aaabbbsss, on 11/01/2009, -0/+5I believe piieerrrree is right.
- osteor10, on 11/01/2009, -0/+3WHAT THE FFF?
- mabakerbraker, on 11/01/2009, -1/+4Thank God for TED.
- piieerrrree, on 11/01/2009, -4/+7I believe you're thinking of Chris Angel.

- mabakerbraker, on 11/01/2009, -2/+3It's weird that if this were a digg mentioning Obama, Palin or Limbaugh the comments count would have reached 200+ by now.
In the meantime we have something TEDdy and nobody comments. - topstorynz, on 11/02/2009, -0/+1Pretty sure it's NOT just you :)
- InternetCitizen, on 11/02/2009, -0/+1"his very public failure to break a world record for holding breath in a water-filled sphere of water"
I can imagine that being difficult. A sphere made of water just wouldn't have the longevity. - piieerrrree, on 11/01/2009, -1/+1I believe there is a conspiracy afoot. Really, aaabbbsss, three letters? ppfftt.
- DarkRellik, on 11/01/2009, -1/+1This kind of stuff starting up now makes me wonder where this kind of science will be in say, 20 years?
- inactive, on 11/01/2009, -5/+3This would be break through material
