- Squeekstyle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Swimming With Dolphins Reduces Depression....so does having lots of sex. Though I think I might have better luck jumping over the glass at sea world than the latter of the two.
- Dispersion, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I took a walk with a sad dolphin the other day. I think he felt better.
- WillyVolk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Furdine, did you read the article? The researchers divided the group in half and let half swim along the coral, and half swim along the coral *with dolphins*. The dolphin-group showed dramatically lowered levels of depression than the other group.
- ronmexico, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm too sad to swim with dolphins.
- zen.state, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1dolphins helping reduces depression is not new information. this kind of stuff has been around for decades.

- subtle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Did the researchers bother to test the dolphins afterwards? I bet THEY were depressed as all hell.
- timbux, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Reading zoophile.net reduces depression....but leads to insanity
- Laythor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0eating dolphins reduces depression too.

The best comment yet. - geoboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I thought Roosevelt reduced the depression when he introduced the New Deal, not dolphins.
- AdamCo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This just in, having fun reduces depression!
- cnycompguy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0sure, winter blahs will subside if you go to the keys and swim with dolphins in a tropical paradise, is't that a bit freakin obvious. seriously now folks.
- npiv, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I believe swimming with dolphins is probably therapeutic, as is contact with humans.
but
"Measurable symptoms of depression in the dolphin group had fallen by half"
measurable, how exactly do you measure that someone is half as depressed as they where yesterday.... - SaintStryfe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0THIS JUST IN: DOING FUN STUFF REDUCES DEPRESSION. Comic Book reading, playing Fantasy Sports games and target shooting seen as salvation of human race.
- warmonger48, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nativeraver: I would defend my home too if some dude just appeared out of nowhere.
I actually swam with dolphins down in the keys and it was one of the coolest things I've ever done. When you're actually in the water with those creatures you look at them and they REALLY look back. It wasn't like looking into a dog's eyes, more like looking at a humans. They could very well be the 3rd smartest creatures on the planet. Hell, the place even offered my an internship down there, too bad I couldn't take it. The trainers said they use the dolphins in a lot of therapy for people with mental problems.
---So long, thanks for the fish! - xodex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I laughed at the Title of this post.

Moisture season? Are trying to be funny 'casue I'm not laughin' ?
I know the real reason they are happy, it's because the people think they have friends.
My dolphin friend, you won't ever leave me? Will you !?
I bet they get all depressed again when they go home to an empty house. - antron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0And if swimming with dolphins doesn't help, try this:
