- Zippo, on 04/18/2008, -0/+5SCIENCE!
- hadak, on 04/18/2008, -0/+4For those in the area, these will be at Penguicon in Troy, MI this weekend.
- cRON1, on 04/18/2008, -0/+4"When you think of things related to science, music may not make the top of your list."
Clearly not written by a physicist or a knowledgeable musician. - chuk31, on 04/18/2008, -0/+4This...is your brain.
This...is your brain on prog rock. - lennybird, on 04/18/2008, -0/+3Tesla was the man. Not much gives me the same epic feeling of looking at a tesla coil. He wanted to provide free electricity to New York City via the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wardenclyffe_Tower
- ecarver530, on 04/18/2008, -0/+3still my personal fave:
http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/science/tesla-coils-pla ... - fuzzynyanko, on 04/18/2008, -0/+3I almost said "again?" but was pleasantly surprised that they added a robotic drum and pipe organ to the concept

- doctechnical, on 04/18/2008, -0/+2Or anyone who knew Robert Moog.
- TheZorch, on 04/18/2008, -2/+4Only morons bitch about ***** hitting the front page with only 30+ Diggs. You'd think after getting modded down a million times you brainless artards would finally get the message that we don't ***** CARE.
- brstilson, on 04/18/2008, -0/+2I will be seeing these tomorrow night at Penguicon.
- tj111, on 04/18/2008, -0/+2Very Impressive, shoulda played mario though http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_PHLUvDZSg (not a rick roll)
- Lapper, on 04/18/2008, -1/+3Not saying this isn't cool, but I think this has been on here at least twice already.
- trogdor282, on 04/18/2008, -0/+2http://xkcd.com/298/
- RoryQ, on 04/18/2008, -2/+4not as impressive as this: http://hackedgadgets.com/2008/03/25/plasma-tweeter ...
but still cool nonetheless - Niightwitch, on 04/18/2008, -0/+2I can't believe people are still doing this, especially since they get dugg down every time. WHO CARES how many diggs it takes to get to the front page? WHO CARES that this particular story only got X number of diggs with X number of comments and is on the front page? I like the variety and I appreciate it when I see a story with a relatively low number of diggs on the front page. The alternative is to go back to the days when almost every front page story was by MrBabyMan or msaleem.
- PinkFloydFan, on 04/18/2008, -0/+2That's freaking awesome. Reminds me of the so-called "Lightning guitar" that was created over at teslacoil.net using a huge tesla coil and a guitar hero controller. http://www.teslacoil.net/guitar.htm
- hadak, on 04/18/2008, -0/+2Thanks for the correction.
- gurm, on 04/18/2008, -0/+2The cowbell at the end was neat. There should be more of that.
- stepfresh, on 04/18/2008, -0/+2Tesla was robbed!
- cbmd, on 04/18/2008, -0/+2Sounds like raw black metal to me.
- mwang87, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1The telsa coils are better when hooked up to a continuum fingerboard. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Continuum_(instrument ...
UIUC had a demonstration during its Engineering open house - Acewrap, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1Uh, why are you going after Benjamin Franklin again?
- hyperionshift, on 04/18/2008, -1/+2I'm *shocked* by the *electrifying* music they can make!
cool stuff! - sly7765, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1Ark Attack is actually based in Austin TX. There is a different guy that operates in MI.
http://www.arcattack.com/ - WhoDoneIt, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1Better than rap!!
- ryanscottdavis, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1really cool, but there's loads online
check out this "how to", http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOkTrqTd0hw - sly7765, on 06/23/2009, -0/+1I know Parsec, I know them personally to ;) - Myah
- midwest13, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1Needs more cowbell!
- miko555, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1I was hoping someone would post this one, it's my favorite too.
- inactive, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1Some submissions make it to the front page while others with the same number of diggs and time frame dugg, do not.
Digg is gamed, only the foolish and naive pretend it isn't. Only the arrogant get angry about it.... ^ see above - SikkiNixx, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1I hope they play Little Suzi next.
- inactive, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1you should check this one out too then:

(not my story) - stfucupcake, on 04/18/2008, -2/+2I'd like to hear it play the Mighty Morphing Power Rangers Theme Song. GO GO POWER RANGERS!

- Parsecironclad, on 10/21/2008, -0/+0This is Parsec from Arcattack. Thanks so much for the positive feedback! We just finished our latest incarnation of our coils and they stand about 7.5 feet tall. They are a wonderful addition to our singing tesla coil family. The comments here are overall positive and all are handy. Me and the guys talk all the time on what we can do to expand on the stage show. Funding is of course a limiting factor. We build all of our equipment from scratch (even make our own circuit boards) and harvested components on our limited budget. Keep the comments coming and come and join our myspace network. The link is on our webpage Arcattack dot com.
- epilectrik, on 04/18/2008, -0/+0The guy in that video is from ArcAttack :)
- Parsecironclad, on 10/21/2008, -0/+0What is awesome about our crew is that everyone is self-taught. I have a M.Ed. in Vocational Rehab counseling that helps with working the crowd but did not prepare me very well for the engineering side of our gig. School is certainly useful for some, but not necessary.
- BatmanStan, on 12/12/2008, -0/+0You should try to get a broadway deal. If those austrailians could do it with trash cans in "Stomp" you have to be able to get a deal!!!
http://godzillafiguresblog.com - EEdesigner, on 04/20/2008, -0/+0This is uber cool. Contrast the actual creativity of these real engineers and musicians with "performance art" by students who really should be learning how to clean toilets.
- Parsecironclad, on 10/21/2008, -0/+0Here is us doing the Mario music on our recent netherlands tour. This is at the TodaysArt festival.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leygxoaEKeM - Parsecironclad, on 10/21/2008, -0/+0The guys that operate in MI are good friends of ours. Steve Ward in particular has been a wonderful contributor to our project.
- pos3000, on 04/18/2008, -17/+1Front page with 32 diggs...wow
