- Eaglefire, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If it's that old, why haven't we heard any updates? They should be building the space elevator right now!
On a less irrational note, how does one follow up on these kinds of stories? Besides initial press releases news on things really just kind of dies. Like those limb-regrowing mice. What ever happened to them and their possibilities for limbless / paraplegic folk? - jomom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0wow! supper sweet
- yensed, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Very interesting!

The best place for ongoing science reporting is newscientist.com. The magazine is great too. They stay on top of things, and often report on discoveries before a paper is released if it caused a big stir at a conference or the like. One of these days they'll be bested by some science blog, but not yet. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0that is absolutely INCREDIBLE news. hopefully the space elevator is on the way
- fkuall, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0make me some nanoclothes!
- Ratteler, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I can't wait to move my brain into a nice superhuman nantube body with a kick ass hyperalloy sport/combat chassie. Oh... I want the new Nike Ankles too.
We're going to see such cool stuff with our new HD eyes. - dasvoldus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I don't knw bout you but i love my flying car, my robot chauffeur keeps ***** up when he's supposed to pick up the cash from my sex-bot hos though.
- polo3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"...soaring." 5hoe
Yah, make me some nano fabric wings! - 5hoe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is fascinating and sends my thoughts soaring.
- mrapplegate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0wow, that is progress.
- LeFrenzy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i want my nanoshirt
- BritOverseas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0nice
- karch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0nice.
- Truegod, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0When I first read the title I thought we were talking about ipod nanos.... haha.
- ersatzphi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yay, now they can start building the city in pyramid!
- davidkain, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I wish I had the balls (and capital) to invest in this technology! Sadly, I could never do away with that monthly subscription to Netflix... =)
On a serious note, this is excellent news, if dated. Truly, nanotechnology *is* the future. Makes me want to twist career paths and become a scientist. Very exciting stuff! - vladharkonen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Old news .. wish someone had a more recent followup though ...
This bit was from Aug. 18, 2005 - ShaDoWwork, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0sweet this will be sweet when they make tvs out of it and we can watch them on any window in the world
- mrASSMAN, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0very interesting! though i didnt notice that the article was dated Aug. 18, 2005.. (thanks vladharkonen)
still i hadnt heard the news of the new manufacturing process, and i immediately thought of all the incredible potential uses of this nano sheet, so dugg. - Erock, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Thats awesome! I think this is pretty much the future of everything.
- manofdestiny, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I love nanotubes! I just hope I live long enough to take an elevator to space!
- vcudigg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Yeh, I was like hey, I already have a case for my iPod Nano... Ah just kidding... kinda, hah!
- mckirkus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0It's old, from August '05 but interesting none the less
