- dtfinch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5It just happens that I hit my head very hard on a rock at age 3, near my orbitofrontal cortex (OFC), and I feel pretty indecisive at most times. Maybe it's just a coincidence though.
Lets have a look at Wikipedia: "Destruction of the OFC through acquired brain injury typically leads to a pattern of disinhibited behaviour. Examples include swearing excessively, hypersexuality, poor social interaction, compulsive gambling, excessive alcohol / smoking / drug use and poor empathising ability."
Still, that could describe almost anyone. - wtfdan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Next is research that will discover frequencies and images to alter the information transmitted between neurons.
"McDonalds is disgusting dude, I don't want to go there."
*Sees McDonalds commercial...*
"Oh my god, I HAVE to have a Big Mac. Right now."
I can't wait. - THC4k, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3so scientist have discovered that people think before buying stuff? Im not convinced.
- l0g1c, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Don't let the Architect hear about this...
- kremvax, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5Speaking of hitting your head on a rock... President Bush and the Republican Congress have come out strongly against these findings, and are seeking to pull all federal funding for their research. According to the white house press secretary and former Fox News anchorman, the administrations current position is that there is no corellation between having a healthy, fully functioning brain and being pro-choice....
nyuk nyuk nyuk - PimpL, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2If they pull federal funding for this research private corporations can then gain full control of the patents, copyrights and IP etc... with little or no public mandate for divulging research findings, since it was not federally funded.
They will own you quietly.... - TheWalkingDude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You see there is only one constant, one universal, it is the only real truth – Causality, action/reaction, cause and effect. (Everything begins with choice.) No. Wrong. Choice is an illusion, created between those with power and those without. … We are completely out of control.
- Merovingian - zbeast, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I guess when you get a research grant you have to do something with it.
Once again people are looking for the magic "Jedi mind trick" method of selling something.
How about make a good product and sell it at a fair price.
Colors that attract, just the right lighting, subliminal music and voices,
Even the US's Presedent Bushes Mind control trick standing in front of a wall with the main subject of his message printed all across it. It must cost him a nice penny to have those printer for every little speech.
Mind tricks do work. Just on the weak.

hm. I wonder about the quality of blogs sometimes. - panicofficer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Well, at least they hosted it on their own server instead of stealing someone else's bandwidth. =
- panicofficer, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Either way, they're still thieves...
- Sithlrd, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3And in other news: the Bush Administration begins an urban program to "enhance the minds of our youth". People who know those who have been through the program say that their once rebellious, independant minded friends come out of the treatment centers much more agreeable and easy going. Look for the program, known as Bringing Rash Americans Into NeW And Standard tHinking in your community soon!
- Nitro2985, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Very relevant, thank you for that excellent Bush bashing post. It's obvious that Bush would undertake a mind control policy given the fact that he has announced his intention numerous times in the past.
