- reeder, on 10/12/2007, -9/+252My grandmother can write a better article than this vague poo-pile. Of course, my grandmother has 2 doctorates, one in experimental propulsion methods and another in theoretical physics, and can bench 285.
- cbasst, on 10/12/2007, -22/+133My grandma had a stroke and died.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -14/+99my grandmother would eat this article at breakfast for the fiber
- misterpony, on 10/12/2007, -2/+73"Implementation waits the perception of our current technologies in higher dimension."
and
"Gravity radiation is what runs the chilled universe , the Hyperspaces and zillion universes held by the chilled platform universe."
WTF? Seriously, this is BS. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -12/+75Your gramma is so old, that when she was in school there was no history class.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+59Yeah, right on, Kevin! This new algorithm ROCKS! I really missed pseudo-science articles from India on the front page!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+45The article used the word 'zillion' as if it were a real number...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -11/+44When my grandma walks to the mailbox she emits something that ain't electromagnetic radiation.
- kritik, on 10/12/2007, -7/+35***** marked as "inaccurate"
- steelmaverick, on 10/12/2007, -3/+28I think what would be more important than figuring out how to go faster than the speed of light is figuring out how to stop.
- vudicarus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+24lol. Some other headlines at below the story:
Gravitational lens and algorithmic interpretation manifest intelligent life in galaxies 13,230 million light-years away in the outer edge of the universe
Mental stealth communication through gravity waves between projected life in physical universe and parallel universes - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+23So it really is BS? Thank God, reading that article made me think I was even dumber than I really am!
- vudicarus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19why is this getting dugg? i hope it's for the laugh. otherwise i'd say people are digging and not reading the article.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -7/+24how about we first think of "actually" reaching even close to the speed of light and then start thinking about going faster than that!
- scott1, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18The Indian daily is generally not considered a reilbile source of information of technology. For good reason:
http://www.indiadaily.com/editorial/11938.asp
http://www.indiadaily.com/editorial/14044.asp
And google search to prove that it's bs:
http://news.google.com/news?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&client=firefox-a&tab=wn&q=Gravity+waves++faster+light+&btnG=Search+News
Indian daily has exclusive coverage. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -6/+23"My grandmother knew Einstein."
My grandma WAS Einstein. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13Yeah, this has to be an attempt to interpret a scientific paper by someone who doesn't understand the science it concerns, and apparently speaks English as a second or third language.
- JimXugle, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9"wtf are you on?"
... and where can we get some? - mmortal03, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9If you read on down, the next one says this: "The magnification effect of gravitational lenses and interpretation by smart algorithms are now showing interesting findings. Very intelligent life and thriving activities exist in very remote galaxies in the outer edge of the universe. " Just ridiculous.
- rageguy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10Indeed, they havent discovered how to travel faster than the speed of light, they have found out that waves in space time from highly accelerated mass can travel faster than light.
Its a bit like finding out that sound can travel faster through water than a boat. - teh_toaster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Does this mean I don't have to freeze myself to get my Wii?
- kamikazecow, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8gravity waves... maybe (gravitons, quantom interference, yadda yadda yadda...)
mental stealth...wtf are you on?
other things below the article that are intresting:
The gamma-ray based stealth communication mechanism changing the future warfare
what is this? stealth nukes? silent mushroom clouds that cant be scene....?
The deadly warfare using microbots – another reverse engineered extraterrestrial technology
.... im not even going to comment on that one.... - scott1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Let me fix my links

- bionicvskungfu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Testing the new Digg algorithm?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6"There are indications that the intelligent extraterrestrial civilization has moved their galaxy to the outer edge of the universe to make sure they can use higher dimensions of the hyperspace. "
Holy hell. I knew it!
They.. Mo.. Wait.. What? - volcompimp, on 10/12/2007, -5/+11Let's get off of grandmas, cause I just got off all of yours!...
- cbreaker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Right? I was thinking that it was generated by some software that I seen on Slashdot a few years back - it was capable of writing papers that sound legit. Actually, more legit then this one.
- innerspirit, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7yeah now we can disintegrate terrorists by speeding them up, hell might as well use them as bullets to shoot other terrorists, 2 birds for one shot!
buried as really really lame - matthewaaron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Duh! I've been working on a gravitational radiation theory in another dimension for years!
- BowieX, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8Its.
- LowFuel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5No way... who would do such a thing?
- ersnyder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5This article ***** blows.
- arpad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Population of what? People? Uh, no. That distinction goes to China.
- t4k3n, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Of course not. That's why scientists increased the speed of light in 2208.
- nreynolds, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Space is filled with Gravitrons and Gravioli's.
First person to know what that's from gets 4444 high fives. - freebird4, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5If this were true, it would be analogous to a cancer cure being reported in The Sun before appearing in Nature.
Now doesn't that just seem silly? - Niels, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4this would be a good TV ad
"I'm not a scientist... But I did stayed at the holiday inn last night" - Konrad9, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6We can't stop here! This is bat country!
- bluemist, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4What a bunch of technobabble.
Made me remember of the Retro Encabulator - nreynolds, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3CHAMPS - also too many high fives to count.
- InfamousX241, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I find it funny that we think we know things.
lol. - MSTK, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4The only reason the speed of light is so special is because the fabric of our spacetime has a viscosity. It's sort of like a terminal velocity. If you change the atmosphere that an object falls through, its terminal velocity is different. The same goes for different fabrics.
I'm really simplifying it a lot, but that's the main picture. - nj10ii, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3And there you have it folks! baadeeaaaabaadeaaaabaadeeeaaahhhh.... Thats all folks.
- carbonetc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I've been to that site before. It seems to be India's equivalent of the Weekly World News.
- tylerjames, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@reeder
dugg for usage of "poo-pile"! - maverick1972, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Not Possible, The only method that will allow us to travel great distances will be through Space Folding.
- t4k3n, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2 Oh. Say why'd you get me a subscription to the Daily Growl? That's not a reputable journal of opinion.
- atpcliff, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Hi!
"Zillion" isn't a real number.
It's "Gazillion."
