Alcohol is more intoxicating and worse for your body, but for some reason everyone thinks its okay. Marijuana isnt as bad for you as acohol, but for some reason there is this terrible stereotype for it. I'm so sick of people who act all stuck up and self righteous because they dont smoke pot... yet they go to the bar and get ***** faced all the time.

That Lynch guy in Cali who is waiting to be sentence for distributing medical marijuana is under harsher charges because some of the patients where under 21.... all of them had a parent with them and a doctor's recommendation for the treatment, and even though that is the state law's requirement, it doesn't apply to the federal policy of providing illegal drugs to the underage.

Abstracts are provided for free, and therefore more appropriate to share on a social news site like Digg.

Just because you're stern about your opinion doesn't make it a fact. The truth is, the areas of the brain impaired by alcohol *directly* inhibit your ability to drive a car, while marijuana simply slows reaction time. This is why smokers tend to drive SLOW anyway. Lots of older kids were selling pot, but you had to get an adult to get alcohol from. Why? Because it's regulated. I'm not saying it was hard to get someone's older brother to buy you some beer, but it certainly wasn't as easy as buying non-regulated drugs.
Arguments against the legalization of Marijuana are either complete BS, partial truths with over-exaggerated fears, or true negatives that still don't outweigh the positives. Legalize, regulate, and tax that *****. The economy wins, America wins, common sense wins... and dangerous drug cartels loose. You're not bothering anyone, you're enjoying your food and your tv, and then you go to bed and you have no hang over the next morning and you're fine. As far as lung problems, well you can put it in tea or cookies and be just fine.
