- Desmothenes, on 12/05/2008, -2/+111Those are legos? Sure have changed since I was a kid...
- Davegfx, on 12/05/2008, -3/+107You could build a lego president and it would do a better job than the last one.
- FBMGriever, on 12/05/2008, -1/+100Amazing. I love this sort of stuff.
I miss when Digg had this kind of content regularly ; ( - doublefelix, on 12/05/2008, -5/+66For the first half of this video I was convinced that top arm was just spray painting the Cube.
- benroy, on 12/05/2008, -0/+61Lego fleshlight probably wouldn't work all that great.
- moo113, on 12/05/2008, -7/+60Lego is plural on its own.
- brownsound00, on 12/05/2008, -9/+47Am I the only one that calls it Lego anymore?
- Cruelapollo, on 12/05/2008, -0/+38Was the kid at your school a robot made of legos? If so, kudos.
- Ramzy, on 12/05/2008, -0/+33As soon as this thing becomes self aware, we're all *****.
- josepablos, on 12/05/2008, -10/+43wall-e kick his ass
- Hoogs, on 12/05/2008, -0/+24What's it gonna do, blind us with its light sensor and twist our heads off?
- Juaquin, on 12/04/2008, -0/+22Better than you can.
- thebrinkman, on 12/05/2008, -1/+22so... we're *****.
- SawButter, on 12/05/2008, -5/+24That guy has built that Lego Robot because he was pissed for not being able to solve his Rubik's cube by himself.
- MrZop, on 12/05/2008, -2/+17I love Lego. I love Rubik's Cubes. This is Awesome.
- nick111, on 12/05/2008, -0/+15There's a whole subculture of these things... I put together some examples here:
http://www.genomicon.com/2008/11/lego-rubiks-cube- ...
but the spin-off that's really cool is the 5 dimensional rubic's cube simulation:
http://www.genomicon.com/2008/11/rubiks-cube-insan ... - dvdcpu, on 12/05/2008, -0/+14It's fine as long as you have a lego penis.
- vertigo32, on 12/05/2008, -0/+14Step on one in the middle of the night and you will realize that not EVERYTHING has changed.
Still not as bad as barbie shoes. - jayv2010, on 12/05/2008, -1/+13Nasa could build the same thing for thing for about $10,000,000 and would only take about 5-7 years
- StigNordas, on 12/05/2008, -7/+19Very hypnotic, I could watch that all day.
- poopdigger, on 12/05/2008, -0/+11You can read about what he did here:
http://tiltedtwister.com/aboutme.html - JT114881, on 12/05/2008, -0/+10Oh what kind of lube did you use? It just chafes mine.
- Expl0siv0, on 12/05/2008, -1/+11That was a lot cooler than I thought it would be.
And it was actually kinda creepy watching that arm move in the 2x. Just watching it move back and forth back and forth....just kinda creeped me out...dunno why. - staffell, on 12/05/2008, -1/+11I for one welcome our legoey overlords
- MrTankJump, on 12/05/2008, -1/+11Wall-e didn't know how to solve the cube, Eve kicks his ass.
- disappointed, on 12/05/2008, -3/+13The plural of Lego is Lego. There is virtually no circumstance under which you have to prefix the brand name "Lego" to the word "bricks". You DO say "I built that with Lego." Lego is a mass noun, like sand. You don't say "I build that castle with sands."
This is the best argument I've ever been in. - Ch0mpr, on 12/05/2008, -0/+9who made this thing? major props to them
- suttercain, on 12/05/2008, -0/+9Shut up! Obama rules. Ron Paul is god. Religions suck! Huffington Post is honest! Failed! Owned! Cartoons that make no sense are awesome!
- SuperCujo, on 12/05/2008, -4/+12Legos can't do anything, on the other hand, Lego can do nearly anything.
Found in a Lego catalogue from 1980:
"Dear Parents and Children
The word LEGO(R) is a brand name and is very special to all of
us in the LEGO Group Companies. We would sincerely like your
help in keeping it special. Please always refer to our bricks
as 'LEGO Bricks or Toys' and not 'LEGOS.' By doing so, you will
be helping to protect and preserve a brand of which we are very
proud and that stands for quality the world over. Thank you!" - stuffradio, on 12/05/2008, -0/+8That would solve the problem, hahaha.
- NorinRadd, on 12/05/2008, -1/+9Come with me if you want to live...
- Cglass, on 12/05/2008, -0/+7No, I tried, and it does!
- crimsonkage, on 12/05/2008, -0/+7No!! All my Randomly arranged rubix cubes will be ruined!
- Lavarock, on 12/05/2008, -0/+7Bring back my wife...
- systemghost, on 12/05/2008, -0/+7GAME OVER MAN, GAME OVER.
- KeillRandor, on 12/05/2008, -1/+8Your patients need to doctor your spelling and/or grammar...
(sry - couldn't resist) - inactive, on 12/05/2008, -0/+6It's the cold precision by which it accomplishes the task.
- yoshman, on 12/05/2008, -0/+6Are you stealing barbie shoes again?
- gstep, on 12/05/2008, -5/+11I know, Lego is the brand name, but isn't there a plural form? I always thought that Legos was just the plural of Lego, or like saying 'Lego bricks'. You don't say, "I built that with Lego." You say, "I built that with Legos (short for Lego bricks)."
- RedHatMatt, on 12/05/2008, -1/+7So, he programmed a robot to make random Rubik's cube moves and plays the video in reverse? I could do that!
-Matt - dilloway, on 12/05/2008, -0/+6How many do you need?
- mohsenxp, on 12/05/2008, -0/+6There's a basic algorithm that can do it, it's what this robot has been programmed with.
Notice at first it checks every corner block, that is all you need to know about the cube. - EggNogIceCream, on 12/05/2008, -0/+6I think there are around 40 quintillion ways to arrange the Cube, So it would be really impressive to see it calculate and carry out the shortest possible method. ( I think somewhere it was estimated around 13 steps from any position)
- mHtt, on 12/05/2008, -1/+7So, did i just get owned by Lego, or a Rubik's cube?
- reyoo30309, on 12/05/2008, -0/+6It's still here you just have to do some work and go beyond the front page.
- Codename, on 12/05/2008, -2/+7I remember when I would build little things with Legos and thought I was good. This ruins it for me...
- rebz, on 12/05/2008, -0/+5Someone did this at Syracuse University a year or two ago with the NXT lego set. Our AI class was the last one to be stuck with the original mindstorms.
- kidsix, on 12/05/2008, -0/+5The best part about being able to solve a Rubik's Cube? All the pussy.
- MikeyMoose, on 01/30/2009, -2/+7Hear hear! It's "LEGO"...
