- joecomputerguy, on 06/10/2009, -0/+9Well done.
The "Earth is only 6,000 years old" has now officially replaced "that's what she said" as the Internet's most worn out joke. - RudeTurnip, on 06/09/2009, -1/+10Even better if it's Adam and Steve.
- Javali, on 06/09/2009, -8/+15But the Earth is 6000 years old! Right?
- brownsound00, on 06/09/2009, -1/+7I don't think so man. I'm pretty sure it started in the year 42, and then went on from there. Any one else that says otherwise is just talking *****.
- joecomputerguy, on 06/09/2009, -3/+8I'm pretty much an Atheist myself, but I'm quite sure that most Jews don't deny Jesus' existence, they only deny the fact that he was the Messiah.
Here's one of many web-sites explaining the Jew's depictions of Jesus:

it incest if you believe we all came from Adam in Eve! - RudeTurnip, on 06/09/2009, -3/+8Yeah, but it's still a good idea to not be a dick to your neighbor.
- inactive, on 06/10/2009, -1/+5Its not my responsibility to provide you with an "alternative life view". I mean, whats your point? Beliefs based on blind faith are utterly irrelevant. You can believe that cows came from outer space, that aliens created the universe, that people reincarnate into other life forms after death, or that a half-man, half god was sent by his father (and himself) to die for threee days and return to a place called "heaven"...
You can believe ANY of these propositions but your believing them does NOT make them true or real. So it is wild conjecture at BEST. If what's true for you is not true for me there is no truth in it. Truth is an absolute, not some wishy washy idea. To say we have to believe in a "god" because we can't "disprove" a god is ludicrous. If this were the case, then we would have to believe in every single figment of mankind's collective imagination, such as Santa or the Toothfairy because we cannot truly "disprove" their existance either.
What you think is a logical way of thinking actually fringes on the psychotic. - SarcasticGenius, on 06/10/2009, -0/+4A science story which has nothing to do with religion, yet most of the comments are from activist atheists bashing religion. Totally unable to control themselves and stay on topic. Just as bad as any other in-your-face radical.
- bsmang, on 06/10/2009, -1/+5For the people who live in their little fantasy lands, the truth can be a hurtful thing.
- quirkopatra, on 06/09/2009, -2/+5Wow. You're quick. I figured it would at least four posts before someone mocked young earth believers.
- solboldi, on 06/09/2009, -1/+4No pics?
- inactive, on 06/09/2009, -1/+4It would be funny if the people buried in the tombs were actually named Adam and Eve.

- inactive, on 06/10/2009, -0/+3Are you calling me a "Dick". I'm just asking for evidence? Is that being a Dick?
Fillings the heads of precious innocent impressionable children with disturbing stories of hell and damnation, devils, eternal suffering and Armageddon = MAJOR DICK! - stuffradio, on 06/10/2009, -2/+4You know, this coming from Atheists and anyone is getting annoying. I only ever read Atheists talking about this on Digg... no where in real life.
- inactive, on 06/10/2009, -2/+4I'll agree that most Jews think there was a Jesus. But, so, whats your point? Just because a lot of people believe something doesnt make it true. Do you still believe the Earth is flat? Well at one time, most did.
So wheres the evidence of this Jesus fella again? - solboldi, on 06/10/2009, -3/+5i can't believe someone dugg you down for telling the truth.
- stonebear, on 06/10/2009, -1/+3Since Eve was made from Adam's rib, they were technically the same person. Therefore we all would have come from masturbation, would we not?
- inactive, on 06/09/2009, -10/+12Don't get excited Christians, they still haven't found ANY evidence of this Jesus fella.
Actually, one of the main reasons I denounced my Christian faith is because I can't find one single shred of evidence for the Jesus of the Bible. Not one artifact or eyewitness account. Not even in the Bible.
Amazingly, we have not one Jewish, Greek, or Roman writer, even those who lived in the Middle East, much less anywhere else on the earth, who ever mentions him during his supposed life time. This appears quite extraordinary, and you will find few Christian apologists who dare mention this embarrassing fact.
After confronting a few Church members with this new knowledge for lack of evidence, it became painfully obvious that these people seem to have NO interest whatsoever in scientific debate. It seems all they care about is re-affirming their superstitious beliefs of disturbing stories of hell and damnation and devils and eternal suffering and ramming them down the throats of unsuspecting children.
I'd be happy to be proven wrong about this. But so far I haven't been. - bubbaliscious, on 06/10/2009, -0/+1Are you going to bash or offer an alternative. Rush Limbaugh bashes and does not offer an alternative.

- Psychonot, on 08/01/2009, -0/+1Are you going to keep clutching on to fairy tales all your life because you don't have the balls to admit that you don't understand everything?
p.s. its bubblicious - garionw, on 06/10/2009, -0/+1thats what she said
- sihayakara, on 06/11/2009, -0/+1'pre-historic' refers to before writing. so, 6,000 years old is prehistoric.
- bsmang, on 06/10/2009, -1/+2What's your point? If someone mentioned the 2 little pigs, or little red riding hood and the big bad badger, would you find it just as troubling?
- inactive, on 06/10/2009, -0/+16000 years is hardly pre-historic.. last I heard 10000 BC was prehistoric.. pfft whatever.. and that movie was turd
- inactive, on 06/10/2009, -3/+4Not one of those cites is based on an eyewitness account, so whats your point? I mean, Josephus was born after the supposed Christ death. So how was he an eyewitness? Do you understand what evidence is?
Please point to the evidence from that link.
There is not one single first person account of this Jesus. There are many who said, "I knew a guy who knew a guy who said he knew a guy who saw Jesus." But there is not one contemporary account of Jesus. Not even the writers of the Gospels actually knew the guy.
So my conclusion is that he probably was a work of someone's overactive imagination. - inactive, on 06/10/2009, -0/+1"Not even the writers of the Gospels actually knew the guy."
You are arguing against hundreds of years of research and writings by the early church fathers.
The Gospels (with the exception of Luke and possibly Mark who talked to eye witnesses of the events therein) were written by His disciples. Paul received a life-changing visit from Christ on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:4).
Even if you want to go against the "scholar grain" and suggest alternative authorship, using basic language skills learned in elementary school one can ascertain that the authors knew Christ on a personal level (book of John is an excellent example). - thisisthetruth, on 06/10/2009, -3/+3why does satan keep testing our faith like this?
obvious fake - bubbaliscious, on 06/12/2009, -0/+0I absolutely don't understand everything, that is the point.
Thanks on the updated regarding the name. After I submitted it I realized it. You're the first to pick it up. - MountainGoatMan, on 06/09/2009, -5/+5But only Adam and Eve were around 6,000 years ago.
- BA88, on 06/10/2009, -2/+2but it has to be adam and eve!
/s - Caps, on 06/09/2009, -3/+3Old.

About 6000 years old apparently. - RanIntoTheDevil, on 06/09/2009, -7/+6You're right. The earth IS 6000 years old. Always has been, always will be.
- dscan, on 06/10/2009, -2/+1i'd hit it- the mummy, that is.
- Moz34, on 06/09/2009, -4/+2And here I was thinking that maybe I could make the first joke here about the Earth being supposedly 6000 years old (and get flamed by people who think it's lame to do so).
Well done, well done. - bubbaliscious, on 06/10/2009, -4/+1Foxifiednazi-
This is an absolutely serious question.
You intrigue me. On one hand you continually bash Christians, but have not offered an alternative life view, worldview, or belief system. What is your "grand scheme of life" that drives you. Do you consistently follow it, apply it, etc? Are you certain enough about it that you would subject your children to it for 18 years? If I find your world view internally consistent, consistent with how I am internally (empty at times, unloving, selfish), and how the world is (full of greed, anger, pain, suffering, love) I will look into it further. However, my belief that Jesus is my savior, has after exhaustive reading, personal application, interaction with the struggles of life, been found in my mind to be internally consistent, in agreement with the way the world is, and a the most liberating influence in my life.
Here's your chance to educate us all. - AraleNorimaki, on 06/09/2009, -6/+2I think it's better to have ideas. You can change an idea. Changing a belief is trickier. Life should malleable and progressive; working from idea to idea permits that. Beliefs anchor you to certain points and limit growth; new ideas can't generate. Life becomes stagnant.
Form the movie dogma - 123bucklemyshoe, on 06/09/2009, -6/+1um maybe you're thinking of 42 BD
