- orb_nsc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Now, is there ever really such a thing as a "cool periodic table"?
- mdepolli, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1They should have used Ajax for that. No digg.
- meteors, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1They could have done a LOT more with Flash.
Unimpressed.
-j - rhyno2000, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Data Loading . . . . . . . . .
and never loads.
Not that it was anything special anyway. Yawn. - rysolag, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0yeah - you can tell that their flash skills are pretty noob. those top nav text rollovers with the static text and all.
- theSteve, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Can it work with these other ways to organize the table?

You have to note at the top that this was done July 11th, 2002 - quite a while ago and more of a prototype making calls to a server for the xml data. Flash has come very far since then. - packetstorm5150, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this is freaking awesome...what they need is a description for the element instead of all the properties.
- Ender1158, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Perfect example of using Flash when using HTML would have worked just as well, if not better, for the same purpose. Other than fact that it contains a BLINK tag, I like capn_caveman's site better.
- meteors, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wrong newezra. Flash is fundamentally almost no different today than it was in 2002. And XMLSockets had been around a couple of years at that point.
People were doing very cool things with Flash in 2002.
"I stand by my disappointed groan."
-j - baltakatei, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Apprently there is 0.000 abundance of Carbon in both the Solar System and the Earth's crust. :/

- mmatessa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0A better use of Flash to list the elements: http://www.privatehand.com/flash/elements.html
