- goforbroke, on 11/15/2007, -3/+21Remember, just digging something up or down doesn't prove anything. Proof also doesn't come with ad homonym, red herring, or any other logical fallacy in place of discussing the content of the Seffen analysis. Try to have your folks stay on point.
- Hortnon, on 11/15/2007, -7/+20We've never argued that:
A) The government is infallible
B) The government is 100% good
C) That elements within the government wouldn't do harm to further an agenda
We have, however, argued that in the case of 9/11, the scientific evidence does not back up a controlled demolition theory. - goforbroke, on 11/15/2007, -5/+17Here is a room full of people reading your ramblings ROFLOAO, pointing, chortling, and wondering what drugs you are taking. However, the comedy of we get out of your derangement is the only good thing that will come from your mental illness.
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -9/+21When have you ever known a truther to admit to being wrong?
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -11/+22Ball's in your court truthers. card51 why don't you forward this paper to the 600+ experts you are always bragging about? I'd love to see these "experts" tackle some real numbers, equations, and scientifically based conclusions instead of presenting conjecture versus Internet videos.
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -7/+18The title was "Seffen's Folly: Attempted 9/11 Hoax By Cambridge And The BBC Was A Failure ". Several truthers, you included if my memory serves me correct, hounded me about this. I told them to contact the communications office at Cambdridge and I was still hounded. You people all came up with this conclusion that the paper didn't exist because you were too stupid to call Cambridge and ask for a copy of it.

When will they publish a retraction and an online apology to Dr. Seffen? - inactive, on 11/15/2007, -7/+18That's the best you can do? Can't refute the data, so just some lame "they are after us" crap?
How about "I was wrong. It was not a controlled demolition"? - inactive, on 11/15/2007, -13/+24How can you expect the Liar Movement to comment on this? It contains actual math, results, and conclusion based on scientific evidence.
They have to "feel" like like something is wrong, that is it. Giving them this to read is just plain unfair... - inactive, on 11/15/2007, -4/+14You didn't read the description. It will be published in February.
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -6/+15Exactly. I wouldn't put it past the government to commit some heinous acts, but I need evidence to be convinced. I would be a troofer if the facts were on their side.
- Frei, on 11/15/2007, -3/+12The lairs should be focusing not on ridiculous conspiracy theories but the real things going on which are in some degree just as ***** up as their fantasy.
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -7/+16Actually I was thinking of calling them and asking if I could have a free copy (I was even willing to pay a small fee if they asked for "donations"), and before I did that I googled the title of the paper and it turned out that this troof blog actually posted it. This honest troofer saved me the hassle of actually calling overseas and potentially even paying for this paper. He is already trying to discredit it, though.
This paper will be made available for free come february. This journal makes each paper in its current issue available in .pdf format. I'm waiting for Infowars to come clean about this. - card51short, on 11/15/2007, -6/+15in all honesty, I gladly will!
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -9/+18Yes folks, hi IS that dumb. What is the title of the article? "ATTEMPTED HOAX". There was no attempted hoax, just crappy yellow journalism, with a panting title to ease the dumb asses that buy into the site.
Trying to discredit a paper due to a single word mistake, that was then corrected, is what they should be apologizing for as well. Calling it a hoax, get it?
Are you REALLY that big a dumb ass? Rhetorical question. I have read your posts. - Hortnon, on 11/15/2007, -7/+15From JCM's comment above, it sounds like he may have called Cambridge for a copy of it. Dunno for sure, though.
- BigManOnCampus, on 11/15/2007, -5/+13huh?? in both cases, the part of the towers above the plane impact remains in tact as the progressive collapse begins. Somehow I think you be crazy.
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -4/+12Yeah so because they were using the pancake theory suddenly the PHOTOGRAPH they have of the top of the tower becomes wrong? Looks like your inability to click links is a chronic issue.
- Hortnon, on 11/15/2007, -7/+15Do you have to ask?
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -5/+13Give me some conclusive evidence and I'll admit that I'm wrong, troofer. There is no credible, verifiable evidence that supports any of the troof movement's theories.
- Frei, on 11/15/2007, -4/+11That's ironic, a suburban gangsta rapper, who doubles as an Alex Jones advertiser, talking about misplaced rage.
- BigManOnCampus, on 11/15/2007, -4/+11Sheep? Do you have any idea just how well educated the developed world is compared to the rest of it? Do you take the populations of developed countries for total fools? If you were talking about Saddam Hussein convincing his people that the sun was cold and that Iraq was the center of the universe, well then I'd buy into this notion of mass manipulation of sheeplike people but only because a dictator made real education impossible in that country. However, the developed world is largely FREE, meaning they are FREE to get their information where they want.
This typically has the effect of quickly shaking out lies and manipulations.
Now... a little bit of history for you...
What scandals have we heard of lately? What government secrets do we know about?
Every U.S. president since the beginning has be effectively unable to keep things a secret. This is because we're an open society. Clinton couldn't keep his extracurricular penis use a secret. Reagan couldn't keep his deal with the contras a secret. Nixon couldn't keep his illegal raid on offices a secret. Please wake up and realize that our government is a huge, clumsy, overweight blob of an organization that doesn't know its toes from its mouth. They can't keep much of anything a secret without spending huge sums of money and effort to compartmentalize the information, and then it only works if the information was compartmentalized to begin with.
So, again, what's the more likely scenario.
A) Our bumbling, fool of a president and the bloated, self-interested whale of a government managed to pull off the largest single loss of civilian life in American History and convince everyone that it was an already known terrorist, and continue to convince that same terrorist to admit to it.
OR
B) A wealthy psychopathic manipulator convinced 20 men to attack a country and a symbol that he's attacked before.
I'll take Crazy Conspiracies for 2000 Alex. - Hortnon, on 11/15/2007, -6/+13I'm more likely to believe it was a "knew about a threat but did nothing to further political positions" type of thing. I haven't seen proof of this, yet however.
- BigManOnCampus, on 11/15/2007, -9/+16Run and hide Truthers, run and hide. The things you have said and implied have been horrific and disgusting for over 6 years now. You have offended a lot of people with your complete lack of understanding of basic physics and complete inattention to the most likely explanation.
Your desire to be "more correct" than everyone else and to "know something" that other people do not know is exposed with your inability to admit error when presented with clear physical explanations that answer your wild imaginings. If you were really in search of truth, you would listen to the most rational explanation, and comment on it instead of simply dismissing it outright as lies. Since you do not ever listen to what other people have to say about the matter, and you continue to insist that the government is out to kill its own citizens for political gain, I am now forced to conclude that most of you simply wanted to feel and appear to other people to be "in the know" to cover up a gaping hole of ignorance as to how the world actually works. - inactive, on 11/15/2007, -4/+11I'm sure that when this comes out in the actual journal that I can submit this knowing that the troof bridage won't bury it then.
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -5/+12It's going to be released in the ASCE Journal of Engineering Mechanics in February of 2008. If you would like you could request that they send you your own personal copy. Please follow the instructions at the bottom of this page.
http://www.admin.cam.ac.uk/news/press/dpp/20070910 ... - Hortnon, on 11/15/2007, -5/+12Imagine that!
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -7/+14Have you actually read (and fully comprehended) this paper?
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -5/+11Rage? Don't flatter yourself. More like vexation that this whole damn time you've been commenting about the *lack* of a paper, you hadn't even bothered to click the link of the actual article. It's funny at the same time.
- spiritofharvest, on 11/15/2007, -3/+9BTW - This paper fails in the first paragraph. "... the storey immediately below bears the brunt...".
Any scientific mind will know how utterly ridiculous this claim is. - inactive, on 11/15/2007, -6/+12That will be right around the time Ron Paul drops out of the race due to an abrupt defeat in the primaries after super Tuesday. And now with the addition of the paper being released in a credible scientific journal, well, It's going to be a rough month for the truthers.
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -6/+12Typical. The truthers that are flocking to this thread are burying their head in the sand and making excuses. How many of you actually took time to read the paper, and I mean really read into how he applied the equations to express what physically makes sense took place.
Stop making excuses. Either PROVE to us the math is wrong (using your math/physics equations of course) or accept that just maybe the inside job theory doesn't have a scientific leg to stand on. - Hortnon, on 11/15/2007, -5/+11You're an idiot. Learn to ***** read:
"...remains in tact as the progressive collapse begins."
I feel sorry for you if it has to be spelled out any clearer, honestly. - BohicaTwentyTwo, on 11/15/2007, -4/+10Debunking911 thinks you are so wrong that they put this picture on their homepage.
http://www.debunking911.com/ - inactive, on 11/15/2007, -6/+12Wow. Hortnon posted a link to this in a troofer thread and now this isn't in upcoming anymore. Yet most of them are saying nothing.
Truthers are intellectually dishonest. - BigManOnCampus, on 11/15/2007, -4/+10I agree wholeheartedly. True science is advanced by falsification just as you have said. This requires an open mind to look at competing theories and allow for one's own theory to be wrong. Thank you for so eloquently proving why Truthers are not being scientific at all in their screaming/shouting about government cover-ups/conspiracies.
- Hortnon, on 11/15/2007, -5/+11When you see it? It's linked, you can see it now.
- goforbroke, on 11/15/2007, -12/+18Truthers ostrich moment at hand. Too bad they will have trouble knowing what velocity, v, and kinetic energy, T have to do with the cost of tea in China.
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -6/+12Every study that contradicts your religion is a sham, isn't it?
- Frei, on 11/15/2007, -4/+9You keep saying that, I don't think you know what it means.
- BigManOnCampus, on 11/15/2007, -7/+12Knowing physics means you can solve problems using physical principles. Since someone has solved the problem, using equations, as to why the towers collapsed the way they did, I would say the truthers actually do not know physics, or in their fervor they would have already solved the problem of why the towers collapsed the way they did.
- Frei, on 11/15/2007, -4/+9Oh and by "give us time to read it" he means wait for the next edition of whatever basement youtube film comes out so he can repeat the things he hears without actually thinking for himself.
- Frei, on 11/15/2007, -5/+10Cardshort, did the mossad play a role in the death of Tupac and Biggie?
- Frei, on 11/15/2007, -4/+9You do that constantly. All you do is copy and paste ***** from truther websites and when asked a specific question about anything you collapse and start linking the website. You're robotic in a way, and when things don't compute you shut down. You're like a captured soldier who just repeats his name and rank.
- Frei, on 11/15/2007, -5/+10This is where you need to use things called facts and evidence, which you don't. It's a shame that you need to invent this ***** to be mad at the Bush administration when there are so many legitimate reasons to be.
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -4/+9No, you just regurgitate whatever Alex Jones has fed you. You don't have an opinion on this paper yet because Alex Jones hasn't told you what your opinion is going to be. No doubt that the minute he does you'll be right back here parroting him.
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -4/+9Michael Moore????? Gore Vidal????? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I think you mean Robert Baer, BTW. Come back when you have actual peer-reviewed scientific papers that support your views. - Hortnon, on 11/15/2007, -6/+10Sorry, what journals were all of the truther papers published in? Oh, right, they're just ***** formatted HTML.
Anyway, if you took 10 seconds to find out for yourself, you would know where it's being published. - inactive, on 11/15/2007, -4/+8Why do you want to know, so you can shift the discussion from Ron Paul to my candidate? If you can't defend Paul's positions without resorting to a comparison to other candidates, than it's not a valid defense at all.
- Hortnon, on 11/15/2007, -3/+7That's about the 5th time I've seen that comment. Congrats, you can't even be creative when you mislead people.
