- Bdog2g2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9wheres that SPF 4,000,000?
- spookshowbaby, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7It's not funny. My grandfather and everyone else on his ship during these tests have all since died of cancer. Wives and children (including my grandmother and my aunt) of people involved in these tests have also gotten cancer at an alarmingly high rate.

- spookshowbaby, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Just curious, do you know which ship your Uncle was on?
- mrdoolittle119, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2anyone want to go on vacation there?
- twinklyJesus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I am not sure at that time. He was on the Hornet until it was sunk. Then after the Battle of Midway he went to the aleutians and was on several ships. It may have been the Saratoga or a support ship. I need to ask my aunt. He served for 30+ years.
- j.carcinogen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Very interesting.

- devindotcom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Thanks for putting those up - that whole area in the Archive is full of great stuff, but I had to pick the best for the post. Those other ones are classic too.
- Elrod, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The whole archive.org site has many, many films along these same lines. Be forewarned: you can spend quite a bit of time downloading and watching these movies.

My favorites are the "instructional" videos. Sure, we'll just lie here on the ground and cover our heads. That'll work.

And, of course, this classic:

The important thing about these videos is to note the information that was being imparted given the time period of the film. Some of it is valid today, while much of it is, um, dated. Then think a little bit about what we're being told today regarding, say, terrorism, and how to prepare for that kind of attack. - Rangoth, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Sweeeet :)
