- norbiu, on 10/12/2007, -3/+21the irony! A website that loads slower than a turtles ass is capable to measure your brain speed.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+14I like your Mac can I get a Digg!
Actually what browser are you using? - dr_benway, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Which, of course, begs the question: "Just exactly how slow is a turtle's ass?" :)
- the-Jer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6A turtle's ass has to be slow. It's always behind the turtle!
- hoyo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Shockwave? Oh well, that means that most of the intelligent people won't be showing up in the results - linux users....
- ishmael5, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5why not link to the actual test instead of just linking to the cnet article?
- joincamp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5apparently you didn't take the test, or else you had no idea what you were looking/listening to the entire time. has nothing to do with click speed

- Cglass, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4perhaps this is a sign of whats happening in the rest of your life?

- brucemolloy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I'd say your cerebral magnitude probably overwhelmed their algorithms.
- dotpage, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4"We're Sorry The current version of the Brain Speed Test is only available for Windows based computers. We are working a version that is compatiable with Mac's. "
Ok, they're working on a Mac version, but what about the linux version??? - HPSauce, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Anyone watch the demo?
"Click on the boy"
"Move the boy"
Sickos! :) - GrinningFool, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2But I haven't had caffeine in two months! That's nearly the same as being hung over...
- raptorGT, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Well, however fast my brain is, is good enough for me, but it appears their server isn't as fast as the "Speed of Digg!"
DENIED! - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Hahaha! They don't want a bunch of Mac lusers coming in there and dragging down the average.
j/k mac guys!!!! Don't bury me!!! :) - nater, on 10/12/2007, -0/+20, i'm psychic ;D
- kludwig, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I got 34ms and am 48 years old. I must be living right. :)
- GrinningFool, on 10/12/2007, -0/+226 @ 30 yr
- anonatron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Title change thanks to the digg-effect:
Offline test calculates brain speed - sigginike90, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2oh it costs money ohh what a suprise.... they're trying to make you think your stupid, so yo will go "i don't want to be stupid!" so yo'ull pay to become more alert.. wtf who wants to be alert. i wanna sleep :)
- duality, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3The lower the score, the better. After all, it's a measure of how fast your mental processing speed is.
I just took this test and got down to 26 ms. Of course, I have an unfair advantage over most people taking this test: perfect pitch. (You have to know you have perfect pitch, and then you have to practice using it, otherwise it kind of fades away. Sort of like the ability to do complex math in your head works, but the genetic tools are less common.) This has made me a good musician as well, when I choose to exercise those abilities. By my estimate, I didn't start missing questions until about the last quarter of the test. (BTW, I'm 25 years old.)
You know, based on the graph they posted on their site, either they got a rotten batch of test subjects for those figures, or people on Digg just score better on average. Either possibility (or both at the same time) wouldn't suprise me at all. - Thurloat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+230ms, i'm 19
- omniatlas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I scored a 100ms. I think I'm either dyslexic or tone deaf.
Is this an accurate test? The first time I took it, it was 160 (okay I wasn't really paying attention to the sounds). 2nd time it went down to a hundred. Perhaps if I take it again it will go down to - a1programmer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+233 milliseconds. I'm 23. :D
- databyss, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Pretty good! I got a 30 and am 25 years in age.
I think being a musician can only help your auditory processing speed, making your brain fast for daily life! - harley999, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1take your time thinking about what you heard, i went thru the first couple times and though it was all about clicking fast.. its just how fast you can comprehend the sounds..
at age 23 at first just by going thru really fast i got like 130.. took my time and got my average score.. although im used to taking my time hearing things... everyone says i dont listen well enough.. :) - HPSauce, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Got 34. Conclusion: everyone who reads digg is a top performer. That, or the graph is being generous.
- Jeral, on 10/12/2007, -0/+131 ms; 20 years old. Cool.
- oldcyborg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I got 33 and I'm 57.... I think the test may be suspect. I am only above average and rarely do well, in hand eye coordination things. But it was only up or down or up and up, or down and down. hehehe It did wear on me, before it was all over. I missed several too. I doubt this is indicative of much, since I cannot remember phone numbers, or even names of people, unless I really work at it.
Cyborg
nah - jguy584, on 10/12/2007, -0/+127 and 18, dunno why, but hey ill take it
- chicken101, on 10/12/2007, -0/+167 @ 16, but I just finished a honors calculus class. I'm tired.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+132ms @ 32. Whoo hoo! Doubles club!
- bede, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I scored 25 too, and am also a long time musician. I'm 43 years old.
- XStatic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+127 and I'm 39, not a musician and don't have perfect pitch plus I missed a bunch because my stupid mouse (or driver?) double clicks on a single press.
I have been losing emails from that too!
Test seems pretty silly to me... - sinembarg0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1judging by your spelling and sentence structure, nothing it says could be too slow. I count at least 6 errors in that single sentence, and I'm not being very hard on you.
- sinembarg0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1it tests your brain speed for listening, not your overall brain speed.
also, note that you dont have to click fast. just listen. - justo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1same score and age, AND i'm hungover :P mmm, coffee
- zouhair, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That's lame anyway
- mogrinz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+126ms and I'll be 37 next week. A lifetime of videogame training...
- omniatlas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1go down to under
- Krumley, on 10/12/2007, -0/+131 @ 44 years old...I wonder about their stats
- rollercoaster37, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I must be wicked stupid... I got 418ms...
Probably had something to do with the fact that I couldn't hear the short blips. Rather, I couldn't find a difference in them. - TylerDurden0, on 10/12/2007, -1/+214ms, Leeeeeerooooooooy Jennnnnnnkins!!!!
- Nightkidz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+170ms....I am 29... dam I must be slow..lolz
- Madh2orat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1-sigh- It WAS a 10 minute test, before It went and got dugg, now its a 3 day test, if it ever comes up again...
- pyrobyro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+125ms, 19 in a week and a half
- booc0mtaco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm sure some of you have taken it multiple times...are you finding your scores level out at a point?
I wonder if these guys... after raking in all that $$$ ... can make a comparison between 'IQ' and this perceived brain speed? I think this is an interesting test. Did anyone else find themselves laughing when they made a mistake? - Jonsey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I hope my brain in faster then the test server... looks like the digg effect!
