Nothronychus Reznor - inactive, on 07/15/2009, -0/+22Most people don't realize it, but Utah is practically Dinosaur Central. There's a friggin' AMAZING Track Site no more than a mile from my house. In fact, my back yard is landscaped in huge slabs of sedimentary rock that were pulled out of the Track Site before it was declared public land. I have friggin' Allosaurus tracks the size of your torso lining my flower bed. For the record, Mormons don't believe the Earth is only 6,000 years old. :)

- MatildaMiller, on 07/15/2009, -0/+6It appears to have very large talons. It's pretty much my favorite animal now. I could probably kill it, though, because I'm pretty good with a bo staff.
- LilJimmyNordin, on 07/15/2009, -2/+8IT WAS PUT THERE BY THE DEBBIL
- AndrewMoyer, on 07/15/2009, -1/+7NIN sure is getting some free publicity out of this one.
- pablocblanco, on 07/15/2009, -0/+5I saw Rad Heroman ride a Ripyourasstopiecesosaur into battle once.
- inactive, on 07/15/2009, -0/+4Yup!
But seriously, how did you get "I destroyed something" out of my post? The site was originally a farmer's field. They didn't find the tracks until they started pulling up the rock to expand the farm. At that point, they donated the field to the State of Utah, who turned it into this: http://www.dinosite.org/
The rock I have is from the initial excavation, and was already too damaged to be used in the exhibit. - frequentFlyer, on 07/15/2009, -1/+4Well, you know what they say about big hands......
- tiraid, on 07/15/2009, -1/+4Some do, but they are mistaken. This is hardly the first time practitioners were incorrect about the precepts of their own faith.
- inactive, on 07/15/2009, -1/+4Sounds like pre-evolved form of Scyther. Are we sure Utah wasn't testing a prototype Pokémon game?
- Wakkyweed, on 07/15/2009, -3/+5Damn, nature! You scary!
- jfitz369, on 07/15/2009, -0/+2"characteristics suggest it was an omnivore that mostly feasted on plants."
... weak. - CaptHuggyFace, on 07/15/2009, -1/+3Genesis 1:96 And God saw what he created and said, KILL IT WITH FIRE! And thus ended the days of the Grimreapersaurus
- 7m7uf, on 07/15/2009, -0/+2I'm pretty sure it's part of the ARG for Year Zero II.
- LawScholar, on 07/15/2009, -0/+2Oh sweet Jesus, it's a Deathclaw. Get the Alien Laser Pistol or a Mini-Nuke, quick!

Sorry for misunderstanding. It sounded like you did it until someone said you couldn't anymore. Anyway, I don't know if it would be possible to put your Allosaurus tracks back where they originated, but I'm sure the paleontologists looking after the site would appreciate the offer. - Kojote, on 07/15/2009, -0/+2Why do websites put articles up of things like this with no actual pictures of what they found? Do these people not carry cameras? I mean, something stupid happens anywhere in the world and there are pictures from three different angles...but discover a new dinosaur species and its "anybody think to bring a camera along?"
- ManUnitdFan, on 07/15/2009, -1/+2"In this illustration, N. graffami is shown using its enlarged hand claws to forage for vegetation."
What a waste of a perfectly good killing machine. - inactive, on 07/15/2009, -0/+113 feet tall and claws that looked scythes reminds me of http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/be/Hydr ...
- ManUnitdFan, on 07/15/2009, -0/+1I suspect dust mites have proportionally big claws too, but they're not exactly killing machines, are they? Unless you have really severe allergies.
- 2uantuM, on 07/15/2009, -0/+1friggin'
- dc2vegas, on 07/15/2009, -5/+5I for one, welcome our new NIN Prehistoric Overlords...
- slavery10264, on 07/15/2009, -1/+1Nothingychus Reznor
- MacBandit, on 07/16/2009, -1/+1The point is that if they say it was foraging for vegetation it probably doesn't have cutting teeth and instead has grinding teeth and therefore is not a killing machine.. If you have to have something of similar size then look at the Giant Sloth.
http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls ... - ManUnitdFan, on 07/15/2009, -1/+1Wait, let me put the picture of the 13-foot dinosaur and the 18 inch three-toed sloth side by side...
Nope, you didn't convince me. - MacBandit, on 07/15/2009, -2/+1Apparently you've never seen a 3 toed sloth.
http://animals.nationalgeographic.com/staticfiles/ ... - inactive, on 07/15/2009, -3/+2Why wasn't Jesus mentioned here?
- Joest23, on 07/15/2009, -3/+2Jesus put it there to test us. We must have all failed that test for thinking logically.
- MacBandit, on 07/15/2009, -2/+1Proportionate claw size.
- 4AntiStupid, on 07/15/2009, -5/+3No, we put these articles to test stupidity and who post that same bash for billionth time stilling thinking it's clever and funny. Congratulations...your win stupid.
- DamnLogins, on 07/15/2009, -5/+2So you destroyed something that should have been special to all mankind or even the next frigging *species* to dominate the Earth, just do decorate your back yard? Kudos!
