New sensors may glimpse the early universe

arstechnica.com — You can do a lot of great astronomy with a good pair of binoculars and visible light from the sun. However, if you want to look outside our solar system, it helps to use some other forms of radiation like radio waves or microwaves. To look even further than these wavelengths allow, however, you need terahertz (THz) radiation.
