- Dumbledorito, on 08/04/2008, -12/+263That's how they looked in 1945, as if the Nazis had "just left yesterday?"
I didn't know they could rust and water-damage things on contact. If that first photo is what it looked like fully furnished and untouched, I'd hate to see what it would look like if something nasty happened to the place. - WordsnCollision, on 08/04/2008, -14/+242Maybe those elusive WMDs in the Iraqi desert?
- MidnightRIder77, on 08/04/2008, -0/+144Four bunkers were found. There are three pictures. All we get is "Experts have already removed a number of items including stamps bearing Hitler's image, socks, military stripes, books and medicines."
It's cool that they were unearthed after all this time, but I think a digital camera can store more than 3 photos before running out of room. - imdeanlabouty, on 08/04/2008, -1/+119This is the comment I just logged in to make.
3 pictures... I feel cheated. - kevinnj12, on 08/04/2008, -14/+118In 60 years from now I wonder what relics of our military might will be stumbled upon?
- zuzustardust, on 08/04/2008, -0/+77Der Spiegel also has some more pictures (captions in German).
http://www.spiegel.de/fotostrecke/fotostrecke-3294 ... - MilesyMiles, on 08/04/2008, -3/+73Cool, I've always wondered what an 'Expert on Hidden Underground Nazi Bunkers that have been Unlocked by Violent Storms' looked like.
- inactive, on 08/04/2008, -5/+753 ***** photo's? Come on.
- Naruki, on 08/04/2008, -2/+67Maybe the torch of the Statue of Liberty.
- TexasShiv, on 08/04/2008, -30/+94Nazis... I hate Nazis
- jrizio, on 08/04/2008, -2/+62Whatever you do just DON'T MENTION THE WAR!
- benologist, on 08/04/2008, -6/+65That's 2 more than most digg submissions give us. Later this week when some blog summarises and it's reposted it'll be reduced to a sensationalist title, 2 sentences and 1 picture.
HITLER'S PERSONAL BUNKERZ FOUND!!! WTF???? [PIC]
Four Nazi bunkers have been discovered and are assumed to be haunted by the ghost of Hitler himself. Hitler's private bunkers were discovered on a Danish beach after one of the worst ***** in history, triggered by McCain allegedly saying "kneegrow please" at a New Years Eve party in 1734, pummeled the beaches ~ huffpo. - jury, on 08/04/2008, -1/+59Dear dailymail,
thanks for 3 pictures.
love,
me - hollyminkowski, on 08/04/2008, -2/+60A little de-nazification, some clean up, some paint, a bit of remodeling and...sturdy new beach house! woooo.
- TomJohn, on 08/04/2008, -3/+59And not a single Nazi skeleton!
- jimmick, on 08/04/2008, -0/+47unnecessary apostrophe
HEIL GRAMMAR - UltraPope, on 08/04/2008, -0/+46Have a few from Danish news sites, but they're not worth much; the runners-up are at the bottom. Best series:

- darkhero, on 08/04/2008, -10/+45The Piratebay should buy it.
- WordsnCollision, on 08/04/2008, -9/+38Or if something nazi happened to the place - is that redundant?
- jnordb, on 08/04/2008, -3/+31Now, if they were uncovered and still harbored Nazi soldiers who thought the war was still going on, then THAT would be a find.
- Tyrghast, on 08/04/2008, -2/+28You know I'd love to go exploring abandoned Roswell AFB
- luckyguy2000, on 08/04/2008, -2/+241. just because this was a german military bunker from the fascist times it doesnt mean the soldiers were nazis.
2. ive seen this story on tv and they featured a original soldier from this particular bunker who put his foot into the bunker many decades later and he was really moved, showed the tv team how things looked and worked like when he left. he was happy stationed in denmark, because the relationship with the local ppl was a good one. - maffiou, on 08/04/2008, -0/+22Topgear ? What about the most memorable episode of Fawlty towers?
- AmericanGunner, on 08/04/2008, -2/+24Oh yeah, JUST like 1945. Rust and water damage and all.
- ManPanda, on 08/04/2008, -0/+21man, i need to start digging around in the sand more often...

- jnordb, on 08/04/2008, -6/+23Well, who shat in your Malt-O-Meal?
- dasamps, on 08/04/2008, -0/+17People keep forgetting that this isn't the 90s.
- loveforkarma, on 08/04/2008, -2/+18Dailymail always screws us over with pictures.

- inactive, on 08/04/2008, -2/+18I may not understand beach erosion, but with consideration to the tide in the picture, and the sand that had to be covering the structure, does that look to you like they could have been completely covered for fifty years?
- inactive, on 08/04/2008, -1/+17Read the ***** article.
- sailadayaway, on 08/04/2008, -0/+13*Illinois* Nazis... I hate *Illinois* Nazis
There, I fixed it. - TheObviousChild, on 08/04/2008, -0/+13New on HGTV - "Flip My Nazi Bunker"
- PBerger, on 08/04/2008, -0/+12I think it was exposed a little and they dug the rest out.
- inactive, on 08/04/2008, -3/+15I was insinuating that it didn't look like they would have stayed covered there due to the giant ocean there that would wash the sand away. My secret underlying theme was that DrDreyfus is a penis, but that's always my underlying theme when I write.
- Buckwyld, on 08/04/2008, -2/+13This is very interesting. Buried for 50 years and intact... the timeline doesn't make too much sense to me. 1945 + 50 = 1995. No one ransacked the place just after the war? I can understand it getting buried well after 1945, but I just don't get why the stuff would still be in there.
- inactive, on 08/04/2008, -2/+13Amazing these were held back from recorded history for so long without being exposed. It seems like this was really like walking into another time, I am glad they were able to preserve it
As much as Hitler was a sadistic mass murderer, he was also a genius of war, politics, and manipulation, which no one can dispute. Though a grim reminder of what once was, an important one none the less. - inactive, on 08/04/2008, -2/+13rofl, digg this up.
- Avaseal, on 08/04/2008, -1/+12Lord knows it won't be barrels of oil
