Mystery Boom Traced
signonsandiego.com — Remember those mystery boom a couple weeks ago? Well, as I suspected, scientists here in San Diego traced the origin to a military training zone off the coast, and believe it to be a sonic boom.

- mondain, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I heard and felt a large boom when I was stationed in Point Loma back in the mid-nineties and I never heard an explanation. The boom was so strong that it shook the ground. I figured it was the Aurora flying nearby or something since there were no earthquake reports.
