Musical Immunity and Auditory Super-Cheesecake

1729.com — If music is like a mental virus, then the brain's response to it is analogous to how the immune system responds to germs. Another useful metaphor is Steven Pinker's "auditory cheesecake", but if music is a very powerful super-stimulus, then a better phrase might be "auditory super-cheesecake".
