- mikemehak, on 07/08/2009, -0/+58While I applaud their efforts, I think their time would have been better spent teaching the majority of the internet to recognize poor grammar.

- Xaevier, on 07/08/2009, -0/+24Great so now the guy correcting everyones grammar will either be a 12 year old or a monkey...
- lamiaconfitor, on 07/09/2009, -0/+14You need a comma or exclamation point between "Great" and "so"
- Peck3277, on 07/09/2009, -1/+12*****. There is no monkey smarter than I.

Stoopid Monkey. - brycehun, on 07/09/2009, -0/+7"So, all along, all of those people on digg correcting my grammar, have been monkeys?"
- GregMote, on 07/09/2009, -0/+6Obviously, they are not enough.
- pegothejerk, on 07/09/2009, -0/+6Please use a period when ending your sentence. Thanks to new standards brought forth by internet and texting common usage, you may put it either before or after the last quote mark.
- TKidd, on 07/09/2009, -2/+7False. There is not a single monkey in existence that is more intelligent than I am.

- RavagesOfTime, on 07/09/2009, -0/+3Is this a Humanity Fail?
- Asvetic, on 07/09/2009, -0/+3It was the best of times, it was the blurst of times?! - yeah, they missed that one.
- dkllack, on 07/09/2009, -0/+3The results stated in the article make it seem as if monkeys were able to distinguish between noises they're used to hearing (bi-shoy) and noises that are switched (shoy-bi), and not necessarily prefixes and suffixes. As the article stated, the sounds that the monkeys listened to were meaningless, whereas suffixes and prefixes have meaning in human languages. I think that many animals would notice if a sound they were used to hearing changed in someway.
- vuke69, on 07/09/2009, -0/+3We're just trying to get the average digger up to monkey level grammatical proficiency.
- Snoogs, on 07/09/2009, -0/+3^monkey :(|)

- BoneStamp, on 07/09/2009, -0/+3Mostly dugg for use of "then"... subtle, and well done.

- jamdogg, on 07/09/2009, -1/+3Not too sure I saw exactly what you did there.
- Anand999, on 07/09/2009, -0/+2But can they tell the whine about their vs. there vs. they're? Or how about its vs. it's? Until then, they won't achieve grammar nazi nirvana.
- inactive, on 07/09/2009, -0/+2And Republicans will secretly fund Katrina survivors..right?

And I bet a monkey has more 'soul' than the average man.
- Kajaah117, on 07/09/2009, -2/+4"Nazis" should be capitalized. You can return to your seat now.

- DirtPile, on 07/09/2009, -1/+3Monkeys > most humans
- KahRahTay, on 07/09/2009, -1/+2whats with the ' in aint?
it's not an actual contraction (though i guess it isn't considered a proper word either)
isn't=is+not
ain't=???+not - DelMonte, on 07/10/2009, -0/+1Does it prove that it would take less than an infinite number of monkeys with an infinite number of typewriters and an infinite amount of time to write the works of Shakespeare?
- zip000, on 07/09/2009, -1/+2I think ain't is most properly a contraction of "am not". When you think about it like that, "ain't" makes sense.
is not > isn't
are not > aren't
am not > ?
Of course it isn't only used in that context. - miffelplix, on 07/09/2009, -1/+2See, all those comparisons between George Bush and an ape were wrong.
