    "0.111... + 0.111... + 0.888... = 1.0"
    this is really bad maths

    note that:
    0.111....+ 0.888... = 0.999... = 1.0

    i.e 1/9 + 8/9 = 9/9

    you've stated that
    8 + 1 + 1 = 10

    thus 0.8 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 1

    note that 0.888.... (that is, 0.8 recurring) is larger than 0.8

    and 0.111 (0.1 recurring) is larger than 0.1

    so how can 0.111... + 0.111...+ 0.888... = 1 when all the numbers are larger?
