Mapping veins as a human 'bar code'

news.com.com — In Memphis, Tenn., a small medical supply company called Luminetx has developed a new method of palm-reading that it hopes will rival fingerprinting or retinal scans as a way to perfectly identify individuals. The technology is based on an infrared scan of the blood cells running through veins, which is then analyzed by a computer.

    unalterable cerebral cortex device anyone? if you temper with it or remove it you die, how does that sound? i guess SSN and fingerprints are just not good enough for anyone anymore. damn all those people who tried to bump the system, it is not like the government was trying to hunt you down and take control of your mind. oh wait, well maybe, hell who knows.
