Is the reason not every blockage in your heart vessels will start a heart attack. is one of the ways the body regenerates after a trauma. and is how big tumors get blood taken inside of them. otherwise we couldn't have a tumor bigger than 1 centimeter in diameter (the nutrients couldn't get to the inner cells), so the worst tumors activate this process to help them grow.
