- IHaveCrayons, on 04/10/2008, -2/+151Women don't fancy studs who get lots of sex? So where are the studs getting sex from? Men?
- capainter, on 04/10/2008, -19/+53Get these crappy British stories out of my face.
- mehgahurtz, on 04/10/2008, -3/+29So, professor, tell me. If women don't fancy studs who get lots of sex, how do they get lots of sex?
/DRTFA - Bonksnp, on 04/10/2008, -2/+25Whatever.
I'm so tired of seeing all these studies that claim to have unlocked the "key" to who is attracted to who. Diffrent people are attracted to diffrent people. Plain and simple.
Why don't you researchers put your efforts into something a little more worth while. - petebot, on 04/10/2008, -1/+20You don't fancy them?
- div2n, on 04/10/2008, -2/+18My experience is that it's all how women perceive you and, essentially, how you are selling yourself to them.
If you are broadcasting that you've had a lot of sex and they are focusing on that fact then that would be a turn off for many.
Alternatively, if women perceive lots of women being with you and around you, they find the proximity of lots of women to be appealing.
The important point is that women want to be around you, not that you have lots of sex. It's a fine line to balance, but if you do, you'll have more women than you know what to do with trying to be near you. - bosssmiley, on 04/10/2008, -0/+15El Reg's original opening para' was better: "In today's pseudoscience news, the quality press is alive with the findings by UK psych researchers that people can fairly reliably tell how slutty someone is merely by looking at a picture of their face."
- mlostracco, on 04/10/2008, -0/+14Wot? No need to be an arse, mate. Why the aggro, or are you taking the piss? Can't a bloke write about a bird fancying a shag rather than a chat-up without some blinkered tosser bodging-up the comments with a naff load of bollocks? Is the missus too knackered to let you give 'er a good rogering up the tradesman's? Daft *****. Bob's your uncle.
- DigablePlanet, on 04/10/2008, -0/+14"Everything is coming up Millhouse!"
- Sairynn, on 04/10/2008, -4/+17This seems unlikely.
- Duntpuff, on 04/10/2008, -1/+14Previous events in my life can prove this is false.
- XMashedPotatoX, on 04/10/2008, -0/+12If this was true, Digg would be getting way more shimmy than it does.
- mr.gates, on 04/10/2008, -0/+11In other words women are confusing.
- vernacularninja, on 04/10/2008, -1/+11So why are women always dating douche bags?
- jackal42, on 04/10/2008, -1/+10women prefer women?
- freezerburn666, on 04/10/2008, -2/+11wait a second, if your getting lots of sex, your doing something right. not something wrong.
- cerejota, on 04/10/2008, -2/+10EPIC RESPONSE, FTW!!!
Some "scientists" forget what "rigor" means. Makes great headlines, but useless pseudo-science. - inactive, on 04/10/2008, -4/+12Women also like to be treated like garbage by men. I thought it was a myth, but it's true.
- jp12380, on 04/10/2008, -0/+8Yeah that does not make too much sense. I've seen other studies that suggest women do like those men but usually only when they are fertile.
- cambob76, on 04/10/2008, -0/+8They take it? I think we all know that women fall for *****... macho, overly-assertive, scumbags.
- scaaven2, on 04/10/2008, -0/+7that description sucked.
- dpazar2, on 04/10/2008, -1/+8"Slags" ahh British vocab
- HurrikaneIvan, on 04/10/2008, -0/+7Oh enough with this science crap! Every chick is different and has different taste! Some like them a certain way! geez..
- LuckyNYC, on 04/10/2008, -1/+8The problem with this experiment is that what women say and what women actually do are typically usually two completely different things.
- ATLien74, on 04/10/2008, -0/+6The skinny rockstar is popular, the center of attention, the pack leader...the alpha male... while the roided out jock is the beta male in the front row trying to keep his arms around his girl that's totally eye-***** the skinny rockstar.
- GREEDOnvrFIRED, on 04/10/2008, -1/+7"Women don't fancy studs who get lots of sex." In other news... No one goes there anymore its too crowded.
- aaronoog, on 04/10/2008, -1/+7*Facepalm*
Guys can like sex and still be honorable. Women want sex with people that don't have sex. That kind of defeats the purpose. Chances are, people who don't have sex aren't going to be the best at it. - Kenzan, on 04/10/2008, -1/+7This is *****.
- brundlefly76, on 04/10/2008, -0/+6There was some other study somewhere that showed that women prefer studly men while ovulating, otherwise they like the 'nice' guys.
- JaredXM, on 04/10/2008, -0/+5So you get to have lots of women around you but you can't have sex with them because if you do there won't be any women around you right?
- mac0Fd00m, on 04/10/2008, -1/+6Buried as inaccurate
- hipswiggle, on 04/10/2008, -1/+6The experiment wasn't performed properly. Have the female participants consume 3-5 alcoholic beverages (or better yet, tell them the drinks contain alcohol when they really don't) and ask them to fill out the same questionaire.
- inactive, on 04/10/2008, -1/+6 All this means is that women lie and tell researchers they don't like those kinds of men, then they go out and bang them and keep it to themselves.
- Radigg, on 04/10/2008, -1/+6the study gets it wrong, most women are attracted to the bad boy!
- klasikahl, on 04/10/2008, -0/+5*Correctly
=) - ransomduke, on 04/10/2008, -4/+8How do so many Register articles get dugg up? Ridiculous.
- Hoogs, on 04/10/2008, -1/+5Good news for me at least. Also, why am I not surprised that articles like this always make the front page of Digg?
- Testiculese, on 04/10/2008, -0/+4You'd be surprised, do some searching, there's are several stories, one that I recall is a frat house hosted a kegger, but the kegger was O'Douls or something non-alcoholoc, and people still got wasted, because they were conditioned for it. (Although those that were passed out were probably drinking something else, or somewhere else)
- SpaceMonkeyZero, on 04/10/2008, -0/+4Their mothers are eating too much soy while pregnant... increasing the estrogen to the male fetus...
- cubicle, on 04/10/2008, -0/+4But the priests like young boys... bummer...
- springboks, on 04/10/2008, -1/+4This story directly contradicts todays story on the woman who had sex with 50 diffrent men. [http://digg.com/tech_news/Facebook_sex_addict_slep ...
This article also has 716 Diggs compared to the 251 diggs from this story. - SpaceMonkeyZero, on 04/10/2008, -1/+4Well, she met them on facebook, so they must have been 50 androgynous girly men.
- spikespikespike, on 04/10/2008, -1/+4On one hand it makes sense that the men who have less sex would presumably be better fathers to their offspring, thus ensuring their survival. On the other hand, men who have a lot of sex may be more virile and also present benefits to their offspring...so...cake?
- Austin7687, on 04/10/2008, -0/+3Does that means that all women are attracted to that myspace moron posted the other day?
- TheSexyGeek, on 04/10/2008, -3/+6True. When I look back on the women who fell for me the hardest, it was usually the ones that I didn't lavish with kindness. Those that I did spoil became controlling psychpaths. Apparently some women don't know how to behave when treated like a lady.
So i treat them like sluts who look like ladies. - Avolin, on 04/10/2008, -2/+5You've been analyzing the testosterone levels in the blood of males all over the world every generation? Do tell!
- nexus37, on 04/10/2008, -0/+3Yeah. Women tell me that all the time. What a bummer.
- bluesatin, on 04/10/2008, -0/+3If I remember correctly they did research on how quickly people started reacting to alchohol consumption. From when you start drinking I think it took around 30 minutes to enter your bloodstream, but people were acting more relaxed and like they were under the effects of alchohol in less than 10 minutes.
The placebo effect can be quite powerful it seems! - bowe, on 04/10/2008, -0/+2Lack of available options. Douchebags always make themselves available, it's their calling.
- bowe, on 04/10/2008, -0/+2Where is the link betwix corduroy and testosterone?
