Lab makes renewable diesel fuel from microbe poop

edition.cnn.com — Humans have used bacteria and yeast for centuries to do similar work, creating beer, moonshine and, more recently, ethanol. But scientists' recent strides in genetic engineering now allow them to control the end product.

  • atact88, on 08/14/2008, -0/+1LoL. When I said this was possible, Diggers told me to go back to school. BTW, this is a very small scale operation right now. It hasn't been scaled up to industrial use. I would love to see it scaled up.
